Won't happen until AAC teams are eligible for the national championship.

So, never.

He has deep Texas coaching roots (Allen High), he has won at a small private university before, recruits well, has an impressive coaching tree, is from DFW so he might not necessarily bail right away regardless of his history, is aware of many of our rivals and conference opponents. He'd be a wise hire that will keep the ball moving forward.

I could see Arky State's coach killing it at SMU...I think he's from Hubbard just outside Dallas.

He is

But as much time as you spend on our board, you should probably know by now that we've got a bunch of willing volunteers in the fan base to help him pack and drive the UHaul.

My guess is SMU goes after Kiffin. Not sure he'd take the job, but that's who I'd go after.

Kiffin and Oregon deserve each other. I also forgot Anderson has that crazy buyout...Todd Graham or Venables is more SMUs speed.

This is the last year of that crazy buyout. Drops to 1 million on February 28th and remains that way for however long he's here.

Not sure, but I sometimes think we might have been better off if we had gone that direction.

Orlando didn't exactly impress in last year's bowl game. He knows defense, but our D didn't really suffer this year, it was our anemic O, especially the O-line, that kept us from overcoming the QB mistakes early in the season.

I get it that some folks thought the offense was predictable, but I think it was because our line couldn't open up the holes. The o-line was constantly getting blown up, not because the opposing defenses knew we were running the ball, but because they were often just more physical. Is why Allen and Postma (although better than Allen) were often rushed into mistakes in throwing the ball because only King with his mobility could buy the time he needed to throw.

Well, that's my opinion going on what I saw. Others see what they want to see, so not gonna try and convince anyone.

I agree. Would have loved to have seen one more year to see if they could put it all together.

Im ok with Applewhite for now. That said, if Im honest--I really believe Orlando was a better DC than Applewhite was an OC. The assumption that Applewhite would be far superior to Orlando in recruiting Texas HS athletes is where Applewhite won the job over Orlando. 04-cheers

Todd Orlando would make sense. I'm also open to Littrell at UNT, Sumlin, or perhaps Graham.

Stay away from Kiffin - he'll give us one decent year, bolt, and burn the foundations down.

I'd love to see SMU poach Orlando out from under Herman.

Litterell would be a homerun . Not sure though if he might see it as a lateral move.not sure what he makes now vs what smu would pay. Tougher schedule at smu, maybe smaller home crowds, not sure he would move

Tell me about it. Past two Tech coaches have left for the SEC and Pac-12; and turned down a G5 UH offer
