We all realize we are a farm team league but being the best farm team has it merits. I didn't know anything about Heupel but after reading about him I'm pretty impressed. His resume is very similiar to Frost. In fact the only negative I can think of at this time is his name is not Frost.

I don't know about this hire. A big surprise. I know him well from his time at Oklahoma but...I don't know if he can be a HC. Not saying he can't coach either; no clue. He has a lot to work with at UCF though, so if he just keeps the machine running things will stay on track. That said...This move by UCF surprised me a bit.

I missed the punctuation. Yes! I think it will prove to be a WOW hire. Heupel's resume is very similiar to Frost. I just hope there isn't too much expectation to go 12-0 next year. That is a very special season that takes a little luck to achieve.

Very similar resume to Frost. Why not stick to the formula that worked last time.

I think Frost coming out of Oregon made it more exciting because Oregon was known for being fast and flashy and was coming off a title game appearance. Whereas Missouri kinda sucks right now. But they suck because of their #88 defense, not their #7 offense

It is funny, I usually am acquainted with the up and coming coaches. I have not heard anything of Heupel since he left Oklahoma.

Just named offensive coordinator of the year by coach scoop.Well done UCF!

Obviously Walters would be the best case scenario, but I suspect he goes to Nebraska when the Peach is done with.

chinander was making more than him at UCF, no parity with their pay because they don't have the same responsibilities. the defense (for better or worse) belongs to chins. with frost's OC the title should really be assistant to the offensive coordinator.

Heupel would likely have been UCF's coach 2 years ago had Frost not taken the job. He's been on White's radar for a while.

Two years ago he was Utah States OC. His career was actually trending downward at that point. I believe his work at Missouri is the reason he was hired.

Well, it's official the last two holdouts from Frosts staff are joining him in Nebraska. The Peach bowl is gonna be an entire Nebraska staff. SOB took everyone. Now I'm just waiting for him to do the ultimate dick move and back out of the game. That would be like putting down your dog simply because you wanted a different breed.
