End of story.

At this point, I don't know who is lying and who is telling the truth. All I know is the somebody's lying.

Fortunately, I no longer live and vote in Alabama. I would hate to have this choice. And I would write in the libertarian if I did.

Roy Moore is an arrogant POS. No doubt that he’s a hypocrite and a pervert. Not convinced he’s guilty or innocent though. Up to Alabama on who they want. The Dem candidate is a lying POS too. Alabama candidates are putrid.

So one guy thinks your religion disqualifies you from serving in congress, has twice been removed for unconstitutional actions as a judge, and has incontrovertibly lied about his contact with teens accusing him of sexual assault when he was 30+ years old. What has Jones done that is even comparable?

Doug Jones is very guarded in his views pretending to be a moderate despite his progressive views. That is the classic bait and switch. And his desperate attempt to convince Alabama voters that their votes would be made public if the vote for Moore.

Again, what has Jones done that is even comparable?

It makes him look like a huge liar and a weasel. The national politburo....i mean DNC has cleaned him up and coached him but he looks like he is lying when he is telling the truth. He is Doug Rodham Jones.

I would despise Doug Jones if he was one of my choices for senator in my state for the reasons I just gave you. Killing someone via arsenic vs using a RPG still yields the same outcome.

Conyers isn't running for re-election so he'll be gone soon enough. That seems to be the way these things are playing out these days (Barton, Conyers). I imagine Franken won't run for re-election either although I forget what he was last elected.

Technically, you're right he did not say that. However, you know that keeping the wording vague like this would lead the voter to infer from his statement that their individual vote would not be anonymous. IMHO, that's deceitful.

Irony alert...what about Moore? Regarding my views on Jones, Moore's behaviors or accusations against Moore are irrelevant. What Moore may or may not have done does not automatically excuse the fact that Jones (IMO) is intentionally deceiving voters on what he truly stands for and his implied statements about people "knowing" who you voted for.

Conyere has announced he will resign.

According to this report - not quite. However, if you have something more recent then that changes things. Not running for reelection is different than resigning immediately.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/poli...921670001/

Quote:WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. John Conyers is expected to announce Tuesday that he will not seek re-election following allegations that he sexually harassed former members of his staff, the New York Times reports.

Ian Conyers, 29, the grandson of Conyers' brother, told the NYT that Conyers, 88, "is not resigning. He is going to retire.”

“His doctor advised him that the rigor of another campaign would be too much for him just in terms of his health," he said.

The younger Conyers told the NYT he planned to run for the seat.

You probably saw that news reported as a resignation that was later reversed once more info came in. The link I provided was written on the 4th but updated this morning.

Doug Jones is very guarded in his views pretending to be a moderate despite his progressive views. That is the classic bait and switch. And his desperate attempt to convince Alabama voters that their votes would be made public if the vote for Moore.

He didn't actually do that.

I would agree if he's made such a statement. I'm only aware of HOD claiming he said it in a youtube ad. But when asked for the ad, he linked an unendorsed ad with someone else saying it. Has Jones made such a statement? I owe HOD an apology if so. Though he could have linked to Jones if so making apologies unnecessary. Google is only popping up the Highway 31 ad, nothing on Jones making similar statement.
