How is it "collusion" for a President Elect staff to make contact with a foreign nation?

If there was previous collusion prior to the election, why would Team Trump need to make unnecessary contact?
Exactly

Where are y'all getting that this contact was post election? I've been reading the request was during the campaign. Just looking for a link.
Read the DOJ statement on jaime Duprees twitter.

Action Flynn lied about was in December after election as a result of Obama's farewell sanctions on Russia

If Putin had just gotten Trump elected, why would Flynn have to call and let him know everything is ok?

JUST IN: @BrianRoss on @ABC News Special Report: Michael Flynn promised "full cooperation to the Mueller team" and is prepared to testify that as a candidate, Donald Trump "directed him to make contact with the Russians."

All eyes need to be focused on every detail of this.

Exactly

Everything I have read indicates all these actions occurred AFTER the election.

Is it illegal for a President elect to direct his staff to do something like this?

The quote in the report says, "AS A CANDIDATE." So I guess we'll see.

Thanks

Will dig it up. All articles I've found have had a similar statement as this:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-t...SKBN1DV5D1

Quote:WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Michael Flynn, former national security adviser to President Donald Trump, is prepared to testify that Trump directed him to make contact with Russians when he was a presidential candidate, ABC News reported on Friday.

Will keep reading... because Friday

Anyone with a brain can see what's going on here. Plead out to get a bigger fish. This post is beyond laughable.

He's just a troll. Best to put him on ignore and be done with it.

Retired Lt. Gen Michael Flynn has promised “full cooperation” in the special counsel’s Russia investigation and, according to a confidant, is prepared to testify that Donald Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians, initially as a way to work together to fight ISIS in Syria.

END
Now please note that he was directed in December after the election

C'mom man...he agreed to a deal to plead to only one count of lying. They could have had him on more than one occasion of lying as well as not registering as an agent of a foreign government, and likely much more.

He got a great deal to save his own ass. Don't kid yourself.

Further, the only people above him on the food chain that he could roll on are trump and Pence.
