We play Tulane, USF, and ECU 6 times. We should be able to win half of them.

Well, you don't need worry about it unless someone comes up with buyout money. I do wonder why you think Penny wouldn't be a good coach, or, at the least, no more a disaster than where we are now.

We owe tubby around 10 Million and I think we are still on the hook to pay Pastner 3 Million.

We owe Pastner nothing. What are you talking about?

A real school would fire Tubby before they get back to Memphis.

And what good would that do.

It'd be another chance to make a good hire?

Didn't Cal lose by more than that to 'em his second year -- you know, the ticker tape parade year? We are not very good, couldn't handle the road, and UAB is a little better than I thought. It's where we are in basketball these days. Nobody's happy.

I hope they continue the series. Both schools owe it to Gene Bartow to play each other and be the best they can be. Memphis will be back. It is nice to get the monkey off our back, even though I know it wasn't a good Memphis team we beat. Still, knowing the history, I was nervous even with a 20 point lead when you guys started hitting threes.

Here's to a real coach that neither school has right now - Coach Bartow!

I still say he's gone at the end of this season. He doesn't want to be here almost as bad as we want him gone.

Yep but Cal was one heck of a PR man so he could sell hope, plus he was one heck of a recruiter so he was able to give us hope on the next season. I don't remember now, but how did we end up finishing Cal's 2nd season?

You mean the year we at least won the NIT?

Do you think we even make the NIT this year?

And Cal had a great recruiting class coming in the next year.

Grandpa has a 300 recruit who doesn't even start for his high school team coming in next year. That is our entire class so far!

Please don't be a complete blind IDIOT and compare Cal to Grandpa Tubbs. There is NO comparison.

It’s not the players fault

It’s the coaches who recruited the players fault

Ouch this is an ugly time

I don't know about the Pastner number. I know we agreed to supplement his salary at GT for some period. The Tubby buyout sounds about right. I used to be a basketball fan first, football second, but, at this point, I'm willing to accept bad basketball if we have to spend the bucks to keep the football program progressing. I'm assuming here that we can't have everything.
