Obama and Clinton helped create Black slave market in Libya
https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2...895853001/

Perhaps the worst debacle of many Obama/Clinton foreign policy debacles, overthrowing Qaddaffi.

There are people here that would argue that $7.55 an hour (US currency) is slave labor.

Nice, the author was actually suspended from twitter for a short period after Charlottesville for basically advocating that it's okay for drivers to run down protesters should they block a road.

But more importantly, FWIW, Libya (overthrowing Qaddafi) was a multi-state NATO-led operation.

The Bosnian & Kosvan disasters were also "NATO-led." The subsequent ethnic cleansing of Serbs by the Croatians, Kosovars and to a lesser extent, the Bosnians, helped fuel Russian distrust of the west. Borders should be sacrosanct, unless you are a Slavic nation.

What does that have to do with anything tom?

You do realize that if something bad is done by the US military during trump's term, but done under the NATO / UN banner that you can't point at him right?

It matters when you cite an opinion piece as some sort of definitive or "news". When you do that, you bring in the character of the one with the opinion.

What does that have to do with anything Bull? Besides, I am 100% consistent on these things. That being said, I'm not saying that Obama, Hillary nor our military leadership are without any blame. I just take issue with laying every outcome of the operation as the lone fault of Hillary and/or Obama, that's all.

Just making sure you 're aware of how stupid of an argument you were making. And to prove it you went from "It was muh nato" to "well maybe Obama nad Hill Dawg had 'something' to do with it the second I pointed it out to you.

You're being ridiculous...and overselling yourself. My initial comment...as well as my second one...are both 100% accurate and have always been my position and understanding of the situation. I never said or implied the whole outcome of the operation was on NATO. Merely, that is was NATO led and involved several other states. Translation: It's ridiculous to place full blame for every outcome on Hillary/Obama, a position I've always held. Move along.

So what exactly are you doubting in the article? The slave markets are well-documented. Here's a Time article from before you voted for Hillary. http://time.com/4538445/libyas-migrant-e...ve-market/

She absolutely played a big role in what happened. From the NYT:

Quote:Mrs. Clinton was won over. Opposition leaders “said all the right things about supporting democracy and inclusivity and building Libyan institutions, providing some hope that we might be able to pull this off,” said Philip H. Gordon, one of her assistant secretaries. “They gave us what we wanted to hear. And you do want to believe.”

Her conviction would be critical in persuading Mr. Obama to join allies in bombing Colonel Qaddafi’s forces. In fact, Mr. Obama’s defense secretary, Robert M. Gates, would later say that in a “51-49” decision, it was Mrs. Clinton’s support that put the ambivalent president over the line.

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/28/us/po...libya.html

Hillary was explicitly briefed by Sidney Blumenthal in March 2011 about the ethnic cleansing that was going on there. Of course, media outlets had already been reporting on it prior to that. See this Al-Jazeera article from FEBRUARY 2011. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/201...78541.html

Of course, her ultra-sociopathic "We came, we saw, he died...*EVIL CACKLING*" moment came well after that, and she has consistently said she has no regrets about Libya, even after . "Smart power at its best" were her exact words.

This is a picture of Hillary with the genocidal Libyan rebels from her OCTOBER 2011 (note: 7 months after she was informed of their attacks on black migrants). I'll let WaPo caption it: "Secretary of State Hillary Clinton flashes a ''V'' for victory with Libyan opposition fighters before departing Tripoli in October 2011."[Image: clintondecider06.jpg&authapi-mob...amp;w=1200]

The real question is how is the LGBTQ community in Libya doing today?

RE: Obama and Clinton helped create Black slave market in Libya
Last time I checked we aren't obligated to participate in any NATO action unless it falls under Article 5 and even then we aren't required to do more than offer support. Any US military participation in the Libya campaign was fully the responsibility o the United States administration in power at that time and any attempts to paint it as NATO's is asinine.

But considering who posted it to begin with one should expect the asinine.

Stop with the conniption fit... All I said is the sauce that's good for the goose is good for the gander and you started backtracking.

Quote:It's ridiculous to place full blame for every outcome on Hillary/Obama, a position I've always held. Move along.

And all I said before your perl clutching moment was that you better hold the exact same position if the US (under Trump) and NATO together cause a problem somewhere else in the world.

Obama and Clinton helped create Black slave market in Libya
Migrants are being sold as slaves in Libya. This is happening effectively in the open, where people can go to a farmhouse, place a bid and end up 'owning' a human being.

Thanks Hillary

My youngest son served in Bosnia. My oldest son served in Iraq and I served in Viet Nam. Wow, no wonder we're not snowflakes. I have a meme on my phone that says:
"Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a difference in the world. A veteran doesn't have that problem." Ronald Reagan.

I have few regrets in life......not serving is one of them....I wanted USAF (I wanted to fly so bad I could smell and taste it)....unfortunately, I was 6-3 and myopic......that was (and may still be) a problem back then....I think they've changed the myopic portion....

I've mentioned this before, but its worth repeating.....my younger brother's son enters as a second lieutenant in the USMC after graduating from ol' piss (yeah, I get to give him shite on that one 03-wink )

he's the one that coined me as "big bubba" and his dad as "lil bubba" moons ago.....

I can't wait to see him during the Christmas holidays......I have to admit.....he's my fave....
