RE: 11/16 AAC Basketball Games
despite the wichita fan freaking out...the league starting out pretty well

early but optimistic/realistic goal for the season

top 25 rpi teams
Wichita State 0-0 2-0
Cincinnati 0-0 2-0

top 120 rpi teams (3 top 60)
SMU 0-0 3-0
Temple 0-0 1-0
Connecticut 0-0 2-0
Houston 0-0 1-0
Tulane 0-0 2-0
UCF 0-0 2-0

150-200 rpi teams
Tulsa 0-0 1-1
Memphis 0-0 1-1

200-270 rpi
South Florida 0-0 2-1
East Carolina 0-0 1-1

i think we end up with 5 tourney teams...no bottom 300 rpi teams....stetson was a top 150 team usf just beat...i think ecu and usf end bad but good enough to not be bottom 300 rpi teams
im hoping ucf can win atleast 1 of nebraska/mizzou/bama with bj taylor and maybe tacko...

As bad as the loss to Lamar was, perhaps it served as a wake up call.

I think it's a bit of both. That Lamar team could be better than a lot of people think. It wouldn't surprise me if they win their league over SFA.

I don't know what to make of this WMU team. They got spanked by what looks like a mediocre South Carolina team, but their PG is supposed to be really good. Coming into the game, it looked like they could be a top 150 team.

WMU hasn't played well against Tulsa. I think Tulsa has had quite a bit to do with that.

Agreed so WMU has not been very good. Even though they are taller than Tulsa, but they haven't played like it. WMU has had a very tough time keeping Tulsa in front of them.

A WSU fan responds with a simple “it might be a tad too early for that kind of talk”, every national publication has Temple slotted 5th-7th, and that’s what sends you into a tizzy?

Good Lord, you need to change out the Depends a little more frequently.

"I think we make a lot of noise this year and might even make a run for the AAC title."

That's what I had the audacity to say. Shockers posters couldn't let that one ride for 5 minutes without getting their baby-powder all up in a cloud.

Pipe yourself down and spare us the national publication citations. And re-read the thread objectively to see where the antagonism started.

-Stay powder-fresh, boys.

I guess you didn’t realize in your “hot take” moment how homeriffic your statement was. 20 minutes into a game against Old Dominion, none the less. And you nearly got burned.

Maybe there wouldn’t have been such a quick response if your take wasn’t so far out there. Because like it or not in your homer glasses, it’s out there.
OK, genius. My post was at 1:28

Game started at 2:00 pm

It wasn't a "hot take." It was a pre-season prediction.

When you get your credibility back, we'll talk.

Thanks for pointing that out. That makes it even worse.

Maybe u should just shut up? Maybe play Temple and then see where things lie? I know this might be the rational response, and you Shucker fans are 12 years old, and incapable of being rational. Just give it a shot sometime. And you wonder why no one can stand you guys on this board? 03-lmfao Grow the freak up.

We had to leave our two frosh low-post players at home (travel-ban; who would have thunk); they don't play a ton yet, but they help with some interior D, of which we''re short.
Colo State has a productive center.
Looking forward to seeing what we can do against some decent competition.

We dropped our first one and won the last two. Will take it. Would like us to learn to finish better though.

Three were wide open but Tulsa also shot terrible from 3. Got to tighten up that D at the end of a game. Thankfully we made free throws

Colorado State is a 4 point favorite against Tulane. The fact that this is only a 4 point line is a sign that this program has turned a corner in year two.
