If you are referring to Obama’s policies, the complaint against them is that they did not get us out of the recession. The recession was caused by the implosion of a housing bubble which had been created largely by democrats and democrat policies. The recession ended when there was nothing left to implode. About all that can be attributed to Obama is the extremely slow pace of recovery. Last time we had massive stimulus in response to a recession also happens to be the last time recovery took so long. Coincidence? I think not.

Venezuela is a great case to show how horrible things can get if socialism is enacted under a dictator. Chavez and Maduro are both dictators because they have rigged their country elections to keep power. The "socialist utopia" in Venezuela worked because the price of oil was high. The moment it dropped below a threshold, the system falls like a house of cards. Chavez was not more skilled then Maduro - they are identical in style. The only difference is the price of oil.

The middle east is having this same problem today.

As shown by this chart, in reality the US got out of the recession PRIOR to any Obama policies.

Then Obama put his policies in place, and turn what should be a normal post recession booming recovery into a stagnant pile of manure.
