Armed Forces: North Texas
New Mexico: La Tech
New Orleans: UTSA
Bahamas: Southern Miss
Boca Raton: Florida Atlantic
Gasparilla: Marshall
UAB, WKU, and one or both of MTSU/FIU find a spot somewhere else.

Those look pretty good but swap LaTech/NT. Armed Forces is obligated to take Army this year if they are bowl eligible, and they will be. No way we want to play them 4 times in 2 years.

In that case maybe UNT goes New Mexico, UTSA goes AFB since Tech was there last year, and Tech goes NOLA? I'd much rather NOLA than NM.

As would UNT. Isn't the NM bowl considered one of the lower tier bowls for CUSA? Especially with UNT looking like they'll end up with 7+ wins, I'd think we would go for NOLA, or hope for an at large bid against a more quality opponent.

I mean there aren't really tiers. New Mexico Bowl you'll be facing a Mountain West opponent, New Orleans Bowl a Sun Belt opponent. Since Tech is in the same state as NOLA maybe they edge out UNT? UNT is closer to NM than Tech FWIW.

Bottom line: champ gets to pick their bowl, and then everything else just gets worked out by the conference and bowls, although I'm sure team preferences are at least taken into account.

Its not going to matter where you go this year, unless the HOD comes back into play because Big12 or B1G can't fill it. I just want to go to a bowl. I don't care where.
