There is no way these landsharks jump us. They already have 3 losses. We win against Houston, we're well into the top 25 easily with both polls.
Yeah, I know OM is out of it altogether, But the team ahead of us is Lsu which plays OM this weekend. My point was that if OM beats them, LSU would fall out and we would move up.
You're right. I didn't read your original post clearly. Yes, we will jump LSU if they lose to the landsharks and we beat Houston. Maybe we jump Auburn too if they are demoralized and get beat by Arkansas. Also Texas A&M too if they lose to Miss State.
Speaking of which and way OT, anything to the sports gossip of Les Miles to Ole Miss?

That's old news from months ago. Not going to happen.
I love the fact that we made it in the AP but it still pisses me off that two UNRANKED 2 LOSS P5 school jump in the polls ahead of us in AP and THREE UNRANKED 2 LOSS P5 school jump in ahead of us in the coaches.

Yup. Still a long way to go.
Two things always confused me about Smokey.
1) What is the big Mystique about Coors other than you just could not get it east of the Mississippi back then..
2) How in hell do you end up going through Fayetteville and Oxford going from Texarkana Tx to Atlanta Ga.
We all convinced ourselves coots tasted better across the river from Helena Arkansas, tho.
And the road where Buford loses his car door is north of Helen, ga. Not exactly a straight shot to Texas.

I agree. I don't understand these weekday games. All games should only be played on Saturdays.
Wrong.
The conference is doing right by us to get us exposure.
But I'm thinking the chances of injury are greater...and injuries can last a lifetime. College players are paid, ya know. lol. Or are they not paid ... I forget
Well, judging by my daughter's tuition, room, and board bills for this first semester, I'm gonna estimate it at about 30k per year. Of course, that's at Memphis in-state rates. I have no idea what someone like Riley Ferguson being from out of state would pay.

$30k is a fair estimate for a non-athlete, but I'd imagine the athletes are getting other benefits not afforded to normal students.

$5-6K Cost of Attendance now, plus much better food and medical care. Let's go with $50K per year. It would be good if teams could have an off week before their Thursday games, but I suppose that is too difficult to arrange...and impossible for teams having more than one Thursday night game.

If we beat Houston we run the table until the conference championship game, will continue to creep up the rankings and will be guaranteed to finish the season ranked. Thursday is HUGE.
