I’d put Troy over Navy, but the first 3 are a step above the rest. I personally think UCF is the best if the bunch.

Too bad South is not playing SDSU again this year. You guys think you will ever make their schedule again?

RE: G5 Rankings and NY6 Bowl Hunt
So the ranking is really:
1. USF/Navy/UCF/Memphis
2. San Diego State/Colorado State
3. Troy
Remember it's only conference champions. With all those AAC schools that high, whoever wins out of that is likely to be the team that makes it, unless they pick up several losses and squeek into the title game with a huge upset. A 2 loss conference champion winning the AAC won't look as good as a 1 loss MWC or SBC team.

Thats right only conference champs can make it.
I dont think the MAC and CUSA will have a team in the mix this year.
With the hurricane canceling games i think it could make a big mark on the AAC on if they make it to the NY6 bowl. A 2 lose AAC Champ that does not play 12 regular season games should not get the jump over a 1lose SBC or MWC Champ.
Lets hope MWC eats each other up.
A 1 lose SBC Champ has the advantage over a 2 lose MWC/ACC champ or a 1 lose CUSA/MAC this year

I honestly think Troy is every bit as good as Navy and SDSU. Now the Florida AAC teams are on another level.

I don't think they want to play us again. We won both games. It was a great fill in when UAB was temporary shutdown. Maybe we should play some MWC teams.

Yeah the FLA teams are going to have to slip up other than the head to head for Troy or any others to have a chance.

RE: G5 Rankings and NY6 Bowl Hunt
The good thing is that quite a few of the possible NY6 teams will eliminate each other out of the race, which bodes well for Troy.
USF, UCF, Navy, Houston, and Memphis all play each other in some form or fashion. Plus if a potential NY6 team from the AAC has to win the AAC Championship Game.
San Diego State still has tough games against Boise State and New Mexico. But even if they keep winning, they'll likely have a tough opponent in the MWC Championship.
The MAC only has Ohio and Toledo that could go to a NY6 Bowl, and they have to play each other.
CUSA pretty much only has UTSA that has a shot, but they have some tough games against Southern Miss, UNT, Marshall, and La Tech... plus a possible tough game in the CUSA Championship.
Troy only has Idaho and Arkansas State that have so far shown to be tough teams. If Troy finds a way to not slip up and go 11-1, they have a chance to wind up in the NY6 bowl. I think it all depends on how good Boise State and LSU turn out to be.

Troy needs a couple of those teams to lose two games.
