Why do they need to be?

Well for one a bump stock is a poor mans semi-full auto conversion kit. You could not conceive of a better gun modification for this type of event. Cheap, converts a semi to near auto, and it makes the thing very inaccurate so youll hit a lot of people in a crowd.

It's not often you'll see me back a gun grabbers idea but these things should be illegal.

Honestly, its nicer than calling them what they truly are-- basement dwelling, pansy ass, scum of the Earth, freedom hating trash.

Forensic psychiatrist suggests a deliberate, political attack -- "derivative effect or cause for discussion". Also blames CNN for demonizing and dehumanizing conservatives, gun owners, and President Trump supporters, and fueling righteous justification in those who are mentally unstable.

It is up to Congress, the people's representatives to determine how that is done. We can all make arguments for what agencies and departments are necessary. Personally I am of the opinion the DHS is not necessary, but it's domestic operations should fall under various local or state agencies organized at the federal level though and existing agency or defense arm. Often these departments are not necessarily "bad" but have just grown burdensome or too expensive.

Generally speaking, I would agree with you. You do understand however that certain states make laws that discriminate against certain segments of society and it takes the Federal Government to step in a make a law.

Who was there to step in to make a law when the Federal Government made laws that discriminate against certain segments of society? Arguably, these Federal laws have done far more damage to the welfare of the current generation of African Americans than slavery did, much less anything done at the state level.

Same. Not a fan of bump stocks. No complaints from me if they are restricted.

But someone who wants can craft their own version if they really want. So it probably wouldn't really stop much.

Nearly 3 years to the day.

Still no motive.

So once the lawyers take their cut that will amount to about $18.00/surviving family member.

Still no good explanation. This investigation seems to me to have been a sham. Lots of unanswered questions.
