It's way too early to talk about UCF and USF being undefeated when they play. UCF has a tougher schedule. USF will likely only face a challenge in Houston. In a lot of ways, USF reminds me a lot of Memphis, in that they both have high powered offenses and suspect defenses. We'll see how things play out. It would be great for the conference to have UCF and USF rivalry matter for championship implications.

What week does UCF jump USF in the polls?

My guess is after UCF beats a top 25 Navy

Whether they like or not, we are the highest ranked team in the league and that won't change until someone beats us.

So until we play them and they actually beat us is all cheap talk.

Geez guys. The takeaway is we have two ranked teams and another on the bubble. For UCF this is the fastest we have become ranked during a season. Usually it has taken us close to the end of the season. That is a sign of respect for us and the conference. I am looking forward to a rivalry game where both teams are good. I think some folks to the west are underestimating their opponent but so are we. At the end of the game if we both make it to the game undefeated it will be well hyped game and what espn and the conference has wanted. One that will benefit us all leading into the contract negotiations. For the Navy guys, I will be in the stands and I am looking forward to playing you all. Please don't hurt our oline.

I just feel like Charlie is holding USF back and it's going to bite them down the road like our attrition on defense did us.

What I mean is that y'all play feels forced and not natural like Willie had USF last season.That's why I can't get behind them this year. I want UCF to be the representative. Feels like the safer choice

Could be. But LSU is clearly in free-fall right now. And it's hard to regain control on the road against a team with similar/equal talent.

I thought it was interesting that they said Strong recruited Flowers to play DB.

Flowers is sort of his own thing. I think Strong and Gilbert are starting to let him do his thing but you can see it hasn't been exactly the same as last years offense. I haven't seen a single screen to DJ all season and that was a big part of the offense last year. There was one busted play that resulted in a TD.

USF fans can live with it based on A) the defense is playing better and B) Strong seems to have a much better relationship with the local HS coaches and recruits than Leavitt, Holtz or Taggert ever did. Besides the regular recruiting, I have never seen this many transfers waiting in the wings.
