I think he's actually the first senator who is retiring and not running for re-election next year? There will probably be others besides Corker.

It seems doubtful the Democrats can win his seat. Actually Corker is somewhat moderate - at least he's been critical of Trump a bit. So I'm not sure if his successor might end up being more conservative.

Corker started out conservative. Once elected he moved gradually toward the left.

I'm ecstatic he's not running. But I was really looking for to primary-ing him.

Early speculation to replace him includes Bill Haslam, Marsha Blackburn (ugh) and Peyton Manning.

Yes, Marsha would. She was my rep for a while. Kustoff is now. I read somewhere that its the most Republican district in TN. Thankfully, I am not stuck living in Cohen's district. Blackburn was also mine before redistricting.

I used to live in Memphis proper where the Ford machine held the seat. That gave way to Cohen eventually.

I think I liked the Fords more than Cohen.
