RE: Scarbinsky: Natural to be skeptical as Bill Clark and UAB discuss a new contract
The Foundation reminds me of my high school football booster club. Ironically, the richest man's son was the QB.
These situations never end well.

Congratulations! You win this week's award for dumbest, most inane post!!!! [Thunderous applause]
I'm pretty sure your high school football booster club couldn't raise $20,000,000, or whatever the number is up to now. And A.J. Erdely's dad is not on the Foundation, much less the richest member. I'm pretty sure nobody on the Foundation even has children on the team. And the situation has already ended well. I don't know if you've noticed or not, but UAB has a football team this year. And a nice, new operations facility. I would say it is quite well indeed.
You need to go get back in bed, go to sleep, wake up tomorrow and try again.

And one more thing Alanis- you clearly have no idea what "ironic" means.

Pay the man. You don't find his kind of leadership and loyalty often. Do what it takes to keep him here. If he can't get it done, that's the time to consider letting him go away. Until then you're a world class idiot not to do what it takes to retain his services.
Negotiate a contract? Sure. That's the job. Just understand what's at stake.

Not as much questioning Erdely's dad's bank acct as much as the division between the Foundation and the University? Er, Coach and the administration.

You'll catch heat here if you don't devote yourself 100% to the "Foundation". Sympathy or objectivity toward the administration will not be tolerated.

That's because one entity shut us down, and the other tried to stop it from being shut down before eventually rallying to revive it.
But, go ahead...
As Michael Scott says, "Fool me once, strike one...fool me twice, strike three."
