RE: *** UCONN @ Virginia Game Thread (The P6 Game You've All Been Waiting For) ***
You know....Im starting to think this is just the natural state of northeastern FBS football. UConn is not alone. UConn, Rutgers, Boston College, UMass, Buffalo---they are all terrible. Im starting to think there just isnt enough talent in the NE to fill all those rosters (or at the very least---there isnt enough talent willing to stay in the NE to fill those rosters). Looks like you have to get to Pennsylvania in the south and around Ohio to the west before that dynamic really changes.

You didn't mention Temple or psu, both of which are northeastern. Or were you referring to New England schools only?

Seems like the last time blue states fought red states, the blue states sort of dominated.

I wasn't aware that there was a war with blue and red states.

As bad as it was, it could be worse...
We could still have Diaco, who's now running Nebraska into the ground.

Agreed. They help with both attendance and mojo.

Yeah NE football is pretty garbage for the most part nowadays. Pennsylvania is a bit different. Better high school football, better recruiting and more of a football culture. There's enough talent to go around to keep Pitt Temple and PSU competitive especially when we're taking players out of New Jersey too.

UVA played very well and the coaching was even better. But I did see some excellent plays by UConn. If the team can curb the number of mistakes, get some more self-confidence and improve on-field communications, I really believe they could have a winning season and make it to a bowl game. Randy Edsall is light years above Bob Diaco or even Paul Pasq. -- the two former head coaches.

I agree. But the huskies went for it so many times. When They should have kicked the field goal, giving UVA greAt field position. Also say we didn't turn the ball over twice in the red zone and capitalized on it. The game would have been closer and maybe even won. But Virginia really came out and surprised me. Hats off to them. Our players are still learning A new offense and defense. So it will take time. I believe it will get better with time.
