New guys on the offensive line better figure it out before we play somebody good.

Why is this game and any other game that's only online being played on a Thursday? It's just as much exposure online on a Saturday and much better for tickets sales.

Pretty decent showing. How do you Idaho fans feel about the next game?

OK, back from the Dome. Thoughts:

-- Overall, a good game, but I'm glad our first opponent was Sac St. because we could have been seriously exploited by a good team.

-- Defense was as good as advertised. Kaden Elliss is just a beast, and the whole D spent the game flying around. Sac St. didn't get 100 yards running or passing, and a lot of their running yards were just their QB running for his life.

-- Our new punter is pretty good. That's a relief.

-- We ran the ball very well, and the O-line appeared to do a good job run blocking.

-- Other than a couple highlights, our passing game pretty much stunk. Linehan had some good throws but made a couple bad decisions, but but the bigger problem was the right side of the line. They missed a lot of blocks and let Sac St. harass our QB all night. I didn't watch the receivers but in the postgame interview Petrino said they were getting open and blamed a lot of missed blocking assignments. Hopefully we can tighten that up between now and next Saturday.

Well last year we beat them in a thrilling O.T. Game on the road. I think it will be a tough hard fought back and forth game like last year. We should have a good size crowd because of the Palouse double header and win by 10.

I'm hopeful that the offensive line learned some things in this game. If they did, we'll win. If they didn't, I'm worried about how we'll do against a bigger, stronger, faster team like UNLV.

Because our AD is a complete moron who is incapable of looking more than 2 weeks into the future and positioning us for success. We want to play in week 1 because we want an extra bye later in the year, and if we play at home he thinks there will be more local fans who will go on a thursday night than out of town fans who are willing to spend the long weekend in Moscow. Why we can't play an away game is an excellent question. This AD has also allowed us to play home games over Thanksgiving weekend when all the student leave town, home basketball games over christmas break and home games when the jazz festival takes over the dome, forcing the basketball team into memorial gym which seats a max of 1500. We've hit the trifecta of idiotic scheduling several years in a row.

All in all the game was pretty good. The D played lights out, allowing a 51 yard FG and a FG after a TO inside the 10. The front 7 looked sharp and the DB's were no slouches either. The OL was pretty bad, allowing 4 sacks and the pressure lead to 2 pretty bad interceptions by a 4th year starting QB. But if we fix the OL issues and we get a favorable injury update on our WR's we will be able to compete for the SBC title, but thats a lot of if's.
