there's a catch-22 to that if you lose.....
regardless, it becomes, "now what do I do?" you basically blackball yourself by filing suit......
now if the ACLU were to spear head the suit????......nawwwwwwwwwwww, that ain't gonna happen with this one
this issue is simply inane ....
If he wins any real amount of money he won't be working anymore. He probably should move, though...

RE: ESPN pulls announcer from calling game because his name is Robert Lee
Even more reason to not watch ESPN. While I admit they put on a great show for college football and I love that 99% of our games are now on some sort of ESPN channel, they have become more concerned with racially charged issues rather than just seeing sports. After I work hard all day and come home to drink a beer I just want to see sports highlights, I don't want to hear about how if Lebron James was white he wouldn't get scrutinized as much.
Their "sports" shows are drenched in leftist views, the personalities constantly make racial opinions about situations that have nothing to do with race, they are just as ridiculous as most news networks. People tune into sports to get away from things like that. Their personalities can be just as left or right as they want off air but when I tune in I don't want to hear the crap. Literally the only time I turn on ESPN now is in college football season or watching the LLWS recently.
If I'm this cat I approach Fox Sports or CBS Sports today, feel them out and if they bite sue the crap out of ESPN.

What are his damages? He's going from one D1-AA v. P5 game to another. It just makes the network look stupid.

RE: ESPN pulls announcer from calling game because his name is Robert Lee
I know it sounds silly, but given how many broadcasts ESPN has and how many announcers they use, having Robert Lee call a game in Charlottesville in the wake of what just happened could look like more than just a coincidence, so I totally get why ESPN is making the move.

Agreed
while I completely agree with looking to the other networks for employment, that's a slippery slope if filing suit persona non grata......who knows what those (networks) may become in the future based on simpleton msm bias/persuasion....
once again, this is where the embodiment that is the supposed ACLU should be pounding the gavel.....

It might* be understandable if some network were trying to get in front of the sjw's and avoid some controversy if said network weren't the sjw's.
*No

The talking heads on The Today Show were talking about this issue this morning. If anything, I think they lean really to the left on a daily basis. They were talking about how crazy this is. They conducted an online poll (non-scientific I'm sure) that resulted in 96% respondents disagreeing with ESPN's decision and only 4% agreeing. I guess you are part of the 4%.

ESPN should have assigned him to a Washington and Lee game

Well, I don't think it was necessary and if I ran the network I probably would not have made the move... but, I see why they did.
