WW says oak pollen is very bad this year. Everything is a yellowish green and I wake up every morning with plugged up ears. Need some rain to wash it out of the air.

Andy Kaufman truly was a turning point in my development ... but for the exact wrong reason.

That all of my generation thought that he was hilarious and brilliant, when I could see absolutely nothing whatsoever that was funny about him, forced me to accept a painful truth: that God fro some reason had failed to program into me any capacity for cool.

Once I accepted that, life suddenly became a lot easier.

Thank you Andy Kaufman.

I have one of those. Got it at the Chinese Tool Store. Works great after I’ve done my spring limb cleanup and piled them all up. I used to be a splash gas all over it and try to throw a wad of lit paper towels on the pile kind of guy.

This thing gets my fire started right. Lots o’ fun.

That is what ranchers use in south Texas to burn the thorns off of the cactus so cattle can eat during droughts. Some people consider cactus a delicacy in these parts. WW says that the oak trees are done with the yearly pollen drop. It was heavy this year. Trees are having too much sex this year!

clt says burning weeds? That is interesting.

One of my neighbors burned his entire lawn.

He went from the worst looking yard to the best looking yard in the neighborhood, when the new grass grew in the following year.
