So is your post. Yet here it is.

Nothing screams insecure in your position like desperately trying to silence those who disagree w/ you 03-wink

Sure, we should deport any serious criminals that we happen to arrest, but going after anybody else is a waste of time, and it's probably damaging to our economy - both in the short term and in the long term.

As a general statement, I almost categorically oppose anything that opposes free trade and a meritocratic society, and I think most social issues are a waste of time - usually perpetrated by those who are either dumb or stealing from dumb people.

Where did I attempt to silence your opinion because you disagreed with me? Oh wait I see it. It's when I said this was a waste of time, right? Nope, that was you. So it looks like you're not only a liar, you're a freaking hypocrite as well.

Read this out loud and see if it makes sense to you.

It makes as much sense as your ridiculous assertion that I'm trying to silence your opinion because I think your initial post was a waste of time.

Thankfully you outed yourself as an open borders regressive, so any attempt at polite discourse was thrown out the window with that admission.

Violence is an excuse, poverty isn't.

Yes, you should follow the law. We have borders and we have laws.

Every single person here illegally that is not escaping a civil war should be returned because they are criminals.

poverty and violence often are products of each other. i don't know of a peaceful poverty stricken land. would you agree that it's much harder to pull yourself up by the bootstraps when you are handicapped by corrupt, inept governments?

Corruption and inept governments are not the problem of the American people.

The only people that can fix those problems are the people of that country. That sai yes, I would say it is more difficult. However, I dont see the relevance to making it okay to break our laws.

If poverty and violence excuse the breaking of laws why is it not okay to rob a bank or a grocery store if you are broke or hungry?

The rule of law is the single most important part about our country. We cannot survive if we come up with excuses as to why breaking the law is okay.

The rule of law is the single most important part about our country. We cannot survive if we come up with excuses as to why breaking the law is okay.

not all laws are great or necessary. lots of archaic laws are on the books in many municipalities and aren't enforced because of how silly they are. add up all those other things i said about the poverty and the violence, the mismanaged countries, and to being with, you cannot control being born and in the place of your choosing. that's why i think borders are silly to begin with. we legitimize them by force, political cunning and trickery and we send our boys into the thick of things that our imaginary lines have a now distinguishable red hue. it's like buying a tv and worrying someone will steal it. now that you got something, you have to go through the burden of protecting it. never can be too safe can you?

with that said, i've already conceded that we cannot go borderless since we're so set in our ways, so i suppose i should be talking about practical reform. it should be easier for companies to vouch for trusty hired hands. but that's probably a whole can of worms for your wonderful laws

It is not the responsibility of the American people to fix the poverty and/or corruption in Mexico, El Salvador, etc. Every illegal alien that comes here looking for work takes a job away from an American citizen, which means that more of the money that I earn has to go to support them. Not to mention the drain on local governments from the colonies of illegals.

it easily contributes to increasing the numbers of impoverished/crime/etc.....it's a negative gain all day and the eighth one...and it's tough to argue jobs that were once available to kids straight out of hs have been lost to these pos....

git 'em gone and keep 'em out....in no way should this be a burden on any legal american citizen.....

immigration laws exist.....you start by enforcing those that are in place.....not so shockingly, DJT figured that part out.....

if one doesn't like that position, they should lobby to change the law......IMO, anything else is nothing more than listening to a whiny little biatch.....

Borders are not imaginary lines.

You're jumping all over the place w/ one crazy assumption after another like a lost 20 something who is triggered and afraid. Pretend like you have two balls and man up. You're asking for a de facto handout, which is chicken sh*t, and you are trying to silence anybody who disagrees w/ you because you know you don't have an actual argument to stand on. Notice you have yet to refute anything I said. Instead, you have made a series of random assumptions which are (obviously) logically wrong.

I outed myself as unafraid of free trade, and I'm not. I categorically think that, all of humanity, including the United States, would be better off if we reduced barriers to trade and promoted a strong pro-business environment. These stupid policies, in addition to costing money, oppose both of those two goals. W/ that in mind, I strongly urge you to act like a man, pretend like you have a pair, and embrace a more competitive America.

Fine. Disregard my second point and key in on the first one. Which is your over the top ridiculous assertion that, because I thought your first post was a waste of time, that I'm somehow trying to silence your opinion(s).

You can, incorrectly, assume I'm "all over the place" but I'm most definitely not. In fact, the one who's jumping from one point to another, like a person with bare feet on a hot surface, is you. I'm over here in the same spot I've always been pointing at your first post as a waste of time. I notice you haven't disputed my assertion that I haven't silenced your opinion(s). Instead you engage in ad hominem attacks on my manhood, which is the last defense for someone who's been proven wrong...repeatedly.
