At a minimum I'm sure they already have a bowl game invitation for this year.

Is Toledo a better team compared to the rest of the MAC this year ? yes. Are they a better football team than they were last year ? No way

The real question is are they better than the 6th best AAC team.
Sorry, but I'm desperate for some banter that is not arguing if Rauner or Madigan are worse and posts of name calling and accusing other posters of being racist.

I have to confess I don't know much about what any AAC team is bringing back this year or their potential as a conference. If it's anything like the past, it should be about on par with the MAC to slightly better. If I had to guess probably slightly better than MAC this year. I think this is a down period for MAC football this year

The MAC's down period was last year. Yes, the Rockets will be better this season than last season.

But I think that's mainly because of WMUs step back

I don't see WMU taking a big step back. I expect the Broncos to be 9-1 or 8-2 at the least when they visit DeKalb. The 2016 Broncos would have lost @USC, so I'm not seeing a drop off. Any new personnel issues or tweaks should be handled by the time MAC play begins. A lack of talent is not a problem in Kalamazoo.

When you lose your senior qb and NFL 1st round draft pick, you are gonna take a step back

Except they have the MAC's best OL and two All MAC caliber RB's, which tells me
WMU can control the FB and be effective in the Red Zone. The loss of Terrell and
Davis, would probably effect the Broncos in the USC or MSU games, not against MAC
Defenses.

Disagree. They will take a step back.
