We had our chance and blew it. One less turn over and we win going away in that game.

Not going to get that call in Sanford Stadium though.

They've had too many close calls against "cupcakes" the last few seasons to get comfortable I think.

Of course not - it is shame that they can't follow the rules of the game.
But that fact should be reported and put in front of as many would be dawg fans as we can.

I don't think officials should be paid by a conference. We should just have NCAA officials. It makes little sense.

Sure would be nice to get to use our officials they way they have the deal worked out with GT.

App will have to be two TD's better than uga to win in Athens with SEC officials calling the game.

All they're going to do is tell you to cry less. And that's a Georgia Southern source, no less, so you won't get much respect to that from UGA fans.

It was a borderline call in the first place.

Keaton should have just fielded it cleanly. It was about the only thing he could do anyway, and he found a way to mess that up.

It was a fumble. The right thing happened. The whistle would have unfairly given us the ball back. He straight muffed it.

It was a fumble. The right thing happened. The whistle would have unfairly given us the ball back. He straight muffed it.

That's BS.

The whistle by RULE {= The right thing to do is follow the rule }would have made it a no play - making them re-kick.

IF we hadn't have muffed it and returned it for TD - they would have had it re-kicked! And as much as that would have sucked, it would have been the correct call.

I agree that we shouldn't have fumbled it, and it was a clear fumble.

BUT - the whistle could have caused the muff. It also could have caused would be tacklers to not immediately pursue the return - which is why the rule calls for a replay of the down. To be fair to both teams. THAT is what Fritz was arguing about and he was right! They admitted to the whistle and then BROKE the rule because it was in their favor.

SEC = See Every Cheater

And it was a forward pass at GT, but ruled a fumble.

Look these are the technically correct calls. But you can't expect to get technically correct calls unless they're absolutely blatant when you're playing in an ACC or SEC stadium.

The best way to handle it is to not put yourself in that position.

It's fine to complain about it right after it happened, but at this point you need to take a deep breath and move on. That game had a lot of missed opportunities in it that would have made the fumble a moot point. We missed a FG earlier in the game and didn't want to risk a long FG for Koo at the end of regulation. Those are the things that should be more on your mind. Calling a dumb*** Wildcat play on 3rd and 4th down in OT should definitely be more on your mind. We did enough to win that game if we didn't compound mistakes by making bad decisions.

If you put the ball on the ground and force officials to make a call, it's your fault.

Wait until Eric goes to their boards 1-2 weeks out and get's their version of Miami's wonderful fan "Your Boy Unk" handing out threats, poor grammar, and an overwhelming sense of insecurity. I hope it's a good game, but not as good as the Tennessee game unless we win.
