The Falcons let the Patriots hang out around longer in the SuperBowl than Hernandez did in his cell...

I have sympathy for his family as this whole thing is obviously something they didn't choose.

As for Hernandez, well - sometimes you reap what you sow.......carrying out his sentence just got a whole lost cheaper....

Well, he "was" a thug there's no ifs about it but it's sad really. With so much money and fame to go and commit those crimes and thinking he was above the law was asinine to begin with. Dumb shite, he brought this on himself that's the sad part.

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division has begun a criminal investigation into the death of Darren Rainey, the 50-year-old inmate who was locked in a shower that had been converted into a scalding torture chamber at Dade Correctional Institution.

What? How is that possible?
You have a constitutional right to aid in your appeal. Since he can't, the conviction is vacated and his family can collect the insurance on the voiding of his contract.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using CSNbbs mobile app

Wouldn't it depends on how his contract or insurance policy was written. State law, etc.

I get your point though.

RE: Aaron Hernandez Dead
The family and legal team is shocked and surprised at the news of Aaron’s death. There were no conversations or correspondence from Aaron to his family or legal team that would have indicated anything like this was possible. Aaron was looking forward to an opportunity for a second chance to prove his innocence. Those who love and care about him are heartbroken and determined to find the truth surrounding his untimely death. We request that authorities conduct a transparent and thorough investigation.

The Baez Law Firm will participate in its own examination into this tragic event and update the media and public on its findings when they become available.

I feel the worst for his daughter. She'll grow up with that label and will never be able to get answers from him.

I believe he did this because of the exemption mentioned above, meaning that people might not be able to sue his estate.

It is really a shame. Sort of reminds me of the movie Cooley High. All the potential in the world wiped out because of idiocy.

"gay lover" sounds a lot like "fake news"

Sounds like a smear campaign against a guy who frankly needed no help in being a bad person.

Quote:The notes were discovered next to a Bible opened to John 3:16, the same verse that Hernandez had written across his forehead in marker.
That verse reads: 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.'
This comes as DailyMail.com learned exclusively on Thursday that Hernandez was planning his suicide for weeks.
The former football star even gave away most of his personal belongings to fellow inmates and covered the floor of his cell in soap, according to a well-paced source. If he lost his nerve he wouldn't be able to save himself as he would slip around and not be able to land firmly on his feet.
