So what's the deal with Cal Baptist? Are they part of the conference next year or the following? Is their new arena done? If not playing next year is it for following year? When will they be eligible for tourney? Are they keeping their coach or hiring a celebrity one like GCU did?

RE: Cal Baptist
New arena opens next year I think though. Looks incredible. 5,000+ seats with room to expand.
The WAC has a lot of very nice arenas for a mid major conference. The ones without the modern-ness (UMKC, SU) have lots of history attached to it too.

The best arena in the WAC, The Pan American Center. No one else comes even close.

As CP stated... CBU joins the WAC the 2018-19 season. Their arena is supposed to be done in 2017... not sure when? Unless CBU applies for D1 in 2017 (a year before joining the WAC), they won't be D1 tournament eligible for five season once they joint the WAC. That would be the 2023-24. I hope they can keep their current coach. Rick Croy is a former St. Mary's assistant who has done very well (104-23) at CBU the last four years.

Is Texas Rio Grande going to play in a new arena? That high school gym looks awful. Also, is Bakersfield ever going to get a new arena? The Ircardo Center is also a high school gym, not a division 1 arena.

I think Lew Hill got Oklahoma to come to UT Rio Grande Valley to open their 2017-18 home season in the new NBA D-League Arena.

Does any other WAC arena have luxury boxes besides Key Arena? Ive seen people in those during SU games so I guess they still sell them. Usually just 2-3 are used per game it looks like

If I'm not mistaken SU is part of a package deal with other Key Arena events. Its a smart way to get ppl to SU games.

Is Key Arena still going to be around? GCU arena is definitely nice but it's feels really small. Roof is really low so does not feel like a big arena. Utah Valleys place looks nice but it looks like lots of bleacher seating. Pan Am is dated and could use improvement, but fits over 12000 and has a major college feel.

Key wont be torn down until a new NBA arena is built. The city wont let there not be a giant arena (no matter how old) in the city for events/concerts. Or Key Arena will be renovated. Its either one at this point. But SU has said if a new NBA/NHL arena is built they will move into that.
Also dont forget Chicago State. Great, modern arena unfortunately being wasted with under 500 people at each game

And apparently needs some upgrades or something per the WAC. There is stuff that needs to be fixed.

You are kidding me? Bakersfield plays in the crappy high school gym and they are ragging on Chicago State about their place which is a hundred times nicer?

Who from Bakersfield is ragging on CSU??
We do have Robobank for when attendance justifies it....whuch may be soon...I hope.
As of last two years, fans and students perfer the noisy atmosphere of on-campus Icardo...for better or worse. We'll see.
Currently mobile....but not necessarily upwardly.

If Robobank means no blue court, then Robobank can't come fast enough! Haha. I haven't seen it in person, but that floor hurts my eyes every time I see it on TV/stream.
