I think a lot of people get it. I just don't think they realize they do. I think Cox has it, and all of the streaming services have it as well. I would actually be happier with a Bien exclusive than any combination of CBS Sports, ASN, and Campus Insiders. At least Bien puts on a first rate broadcast and treats the games like they are meaningful.
As long as Bien provides coverage of enough games during basketball and football seasons, it is easily available, and they do at least as well as they did in the few games we saw this season, I am all for them getting exclusive rights. I agree that it is too confusing to have the conference games covered on several different networks throughout the season on a daily/weekly basis. This basketball tournament alone was horrendous in that regard and reeks of small time doings by a conference.

If it gets all the stuff that was on ASN on Campus Insiders then honestly it's an improvement. If beIN picks up the package, or at this point is begged to, and they agree to, just take the ASN games for free, that would be an improvement.
If ODU or C-USA ends up with basketball and football coverage that requires people to log onto a computer and stream the video in order to view the games then that is unsatisfactory and an embarrassment. CAA games (for example) were on several times a week without needing anything but my remote control and a TV directory.
If it is also shown via streaming on a web site in addition to being available on a TV network (that is readily accessible) then that is a bonus.
Times have changed. As someone that remembers those days, there were games were we had zero tv exposure too. At least nowadays, if you have a computer and internet, you can watch every single game.
Or do it like I suggested and it won't be a problem with either coverage or accessibility. 'Progress' has shown that it isn't always a good thing for the individual consumer.

I get BeIN but I dont have that added package. Didn't see the point, since we were never on any of those channels when we signed up. Maybe they messed up.

Not 100% agree with this. Their commentators were saying the refs screwed up when we beat UTEP. They didn't realize it was a clock issue and apparently none of their crew knew it either.
Btw, Fios Preferred HD has BeIN.

Yep that 2 minute faux pas by a commentator who also does games on ESPN completely negates every other minute of really quality coverage that they provided over the course of the season. Take a deep breath, people make mistakes.

I just said I wasn't 100% agreeing with the first rate broadcast stuff. 90% isn't bad, it's still an A.

Looks like ASN is going out of business at the end of the month.

This is a BIG deal if true. The quality might have sucked, but ASN carried a ton of ODU games. Crappy quality is still better than no tv at all.

I believe all of our home bball games not picked up by a network will be on ESPN3 next year.

I was thinking mostly of road games.
But glad to hear there is some backup in case I can't make a home bball game.

If they upgrade their equipment, like they agreed to, it would be the same for all conference road games.

Bien is good but i don't think it is included in anyone's basic pkg. Cox, Verizon, Direct TV... you have to pay extra to get it.
