And one more thing. Most liberals aren't blaming the election loss directly on Russian hacking. Instead we are saying that we're afraid Russia now has hooks into the current administration.

And it didn't matter much at all to Russia. If Hillary won, their efforts would still have paid off my laying a major hit to her credibility in order to weaken her on the world stage. If it led to a Trump victory, then even better for them.

You'd be best served to stick to trolling. Your ventures into actual rational thought fall woefully short. Sorry.

So Russians probably hacked the stupid DNC and made the info public and that means Trump is compromised?

Question is would you be worried about Russia "having hooks" in the Clinton administration had she won? Betcha a plug nickel you can't say you would.

I'd be worried if there was even one scintillate of evidence of that. On the other hand, you guys are running around like headless chickens trying to dissipate all the Russian smoke that keeps billowing.

It sure sounds like meddling to me. Either way, it's not like there was some huge stink raised about it...a few news stories. Not some giant conspiracy theory like is being thrown around now.

What I want to know is, where is the proof that something actually happened? There's tapes? RELEASE THEM. Say what you actually think happened. Specifically. Who interfered? When? How? Who was affected? What voting systems were tampered with? How many votes?

Otherwise the left needs to STFU.

Two wrongs? Was Claire McCaskill under oath when she tweeted? Did she therefore commit perjury? Is Claire McCaskill the US attorney general, the highest-ranking law enforcement officer in the United States?

The Republican Party set the standard for perjury by a public official in 1998. Surely they wouldn't invoke impeachment just to score political points? There were principles at stake, and surely the GOP still holds to those same principles today.

Yup. That's my understanding too, so no hacking.

Then they used the widow as a prop at the SOTU. It's not good guys. I feel horrible about it and for the family. If the situation were reversed we would have a Benghazi like trial and we would find that Trump was incompetent. It's terrible.

You know it was planned during zerO admin and only got greenlighted when it did due to the first moonless night, right? 03-lmfao

I covered this the other day...maybe you missed it.

Aside from the fact that Trump is the CIC and it matters not at all what Obama did or did not plan any way, Trump merely okaying it would constitute gross negligence on his part.

How long has Trump told us that Obama does not know what he's doing...specifically with the war on terror? How he's feckless and incompetent, etc?

So Trump is going to blindly take a plan Obama drew up and say "run with it boys" with no further thought?

Trump was not even in the situation room during the raid. Instead, he was tweeting out, and correcting that tweet, about his next media appearance. That's really how you want a new president to handle his first significant military operation?

You guys falling in line and worshiping everything Trump does now is just pathetic. You told us for eight years how Obama needed to stop blaming Bush and take responsibility for things and yadda yadda yadda. And now? Puhleeze!

"They lost Ryan" ~ DJT. Now that's a real response from a man of integrity there AMIRITE?

Really, Tom?

No one said zerO drew it up, I wouldn't trust him to design an ice cream and bicycle ride party around The Vineyawd.

It was done by his military folks during his admin, and when presented with it, I believe by Mattis, and the timing was right
Trump probably said something to the effect of "whatever is in your best judgement. If you see value here, do what you think is best".

And who's "worshiping" anything? This is just the same silly DeeCee parlor game of Gotcha!!! that's been going on for 40+ years now. Each side wants to exact their ounce of flesh and an AG would be a pretty big get.

But he ain' going anywhere. The contemptible witHolder was held in contempt of Congress for his lawlessness and he stayed on, no way Sessions goes over something as silly as this.

The hysteria is becoming hysterical.

(03-02-2017 01:20 PM)Machiavelli Wrote:  The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday accused FBI Director James Comey of withholding crucial information about its probe into Russian interference in the election.

"I would say at this point we know less than a fraction of what the FBI knows,” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) told reporters after a briefing with Comey.

“I appreciate we had a long briefing and testimony from the director today, but in order for us to do our investigation in a thorough and credible way, we're gonna need the FBI to fully cooperate, to be willing to tell us the length and breadth of any counterintelligence investigations they are conducting,” Schiff said. “At this point, the director was not willing to do that.”

The briefing came as Attorney General Jeff Sessions is facing calls to recuse himself from an investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and Russia after it was revealed that Sessions met twice with the Russia ambassador last year, and didn’t tell senators about it during his confirmation hearing.

Schiff indicated that Comey and the Justice Department should be more cooperative and forthcoming at their next meeting “because we’re gonna need that information.”

“And we’re better off getting that through the voluntary cooperation of the FBI than having to contemplate whether we need to subpoena the FBI,” he said.

Mach, or any of your fellow lefty travelers, serious question:

Let's just go with the Ruskies were behind the release of the DNC emails after Podesta clicked on that hotlink, k? No evidence of that, but we'll go with it:

How many votes, or voters do you really think that may have influenced? Do you honestly think some large # of H> voters read that inside baseball drivel and said "Yup, that's it. Podesta thinks shes an aimless, crappy candidate, and CNN talking head was feeding H> the debate questions in advance. So now I'm switching to Trump." Really?

I'd put that number somewhere between larger than zero, and smaller than 4 figures. I'd further bet my lunch money that fewer than 20% of the entire electorate was even paying attention to, or had any idea about reading internal DNC emails.

This entire thing is such a nothing-burger it's amusing.

The Russians are coming, The Russians are coming!!! lol

http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi4000187673

They didn't necessarily have to shift to Trump. And if you don't think the Podesta stuff turned some Hillary voters into Johnson or Stein voters, you're delusional. Now, was it enough to swing the election alone? Who knows, but it certainly played a role. I put the role more in the camp of swaying those who felt like the DNC was in cahoots to smear Sanders more than painting H as not a good candidate.

Yea, okay. I'd still put that scenario somewhere between zero and under 4 figures. I'd like to see if anyone polled on that, but I doubt it.

What it may have done is simply confirm what everyone already kind of knew or suspected. That the DNC was wholly corrupt and in the tank entirely for H>, her own people recognized what a schitty candidate and crap campaign she was running, and further confirmed that the MSM was as corrupt and left as advertised. One reporter even bragging that he was now a "hack". His words. Can't make this ish up.

RE: Sessions....... didn't disclose during confirmation.....
BTW - Sessions has made a statement

Quote:“During the course of the confirmation proceedings on my nomination to be Attorney General, I advised the Senate Judiciary Committee that ‘[i]f a specific matter arose where I believed my impartiality might reasonably be questioned, I would consult with Department ethics officials regarding the most appropriate way to proceed.’

“During the course of the last several weeks, I have met with the relevant senior career Department officials to discuss whether I should recuse myself from any matters arising from the campaigns for President of the United States.

“Having concluded those meetings today, I have decided to recuse myself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States.

“I have taken no actions regarding any such matters, to the extent they exist.

“This announcement should not be interpreted as confirmation of the existence of any investigation or suggestive of the scope of any such investigation.

“Consistent with the succession order for the Department of Justice, Acting Deputy Attorney General and U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Dane Boente shall act as and perform the functions of the Attorney General with respect to any matters from which I have recused myself to the extent they exist.”
