Looks like we will settle into the 7 seed. Not a bad slot; I'd rather play La Tech again in the quarterfinals than ODU. Plus the brawl storyline will make it interesting.

Our perimeter game flat out sucks.

When they play well like today, but they are the problems when they don't bother to show up. How about looking back more than the most previous game, or is that beyond your mental capacity.

No one wants to give credit. But Ehsan did a great coaching job today.

I thought there were some well placed time outs taken today, and I think the team benefited from the technical. Today was a decent day.

It's just a shame that we've lost 4 in a row and 6 of our last 7.

If we play like that the next two games, we should have some momentum going into the tournament. I'm not ready to give up on this team yet.

Is it beyond your mental capacity to know bad coaching and recruiting when you see it? Obviously if you blame William Lee for this program's trajectory. When Lee signed it was very big deal in-state. How did UAB follow up on that momentum? With Nick Norton, Denzel Collins, Dirk Williams, Smallwood, Javean Williams, and Nate Darling.

Other programs in our area certainly won't be putting the blame on William for any lack of development at UAB. They'll put it right where it belongs as they recruit against Ehsan.

If we lose, that is the play that did it.
Yep! Huge wake up call for Baxter. If UAB is going to have the chance to advance to the final game of the conference tournament, he is the player who is going to have to step up to the foul line, of all things, and among other things, for them to be successful. I thought sure he would swish both of them but he hit a bunch of iron instead. Not enough arch on his free throws.

RE: Game threadMiddle Tenn
Lee and Cokley are definitely PART of the problem. I don't think anyone on the team is absolved completely. Their play comes and goes game to game, despite both being CUSA MVP caliber players. Some of that falls on coaching, but a lot of the blame has to go on the individual players, as well. I believe just how much of our issues fall on coaching will be borne out next year..

At least we didn't get blown out is about all we can take away from today. That's a small miracle itself. Congrats to MTSU on a great season. They are having the type of year that we should've had. There's absolutely no reason, outside of lowered expectations from beaten down, over-rationalizing, UAB fans, to expect the same thing from our team next season.

The team played much better and he showed some emotion. A step in the right direction for sure.

It would be great to show some life the rest of this season and then land at least two really good players late. This class will be the foundation of the team after next season so Ehsan needs to finish strong.

UAB played well in a very entertaining game. Two missed free throws and two missed 3-pointers down the stretch were costly.

UAB was sitting at 7-2 on Jan. 28th after beating Southern Miss by 44 points. Now UAB sits at 8-8 in conference and 15-14 overall.

UAB went 1-6 in February.

If ******* Kermit had just kept #1 in the game we would have won easily.

I did enjoy watching that guy knock Upshaw to the floor so he had room to foul Cokley.

And further: have we EVER won a game when that stupid clip from Hoosiers was played on the big screen?

We had the lead when they played that thing!

UAB seems to be the home of ridiculous routines, clips, tweets, slogans, etc.

& I would agree that Ehsan took a few big steps forward today.

I couldn't watch the game. Was the last play designed for Dirk? I probably would have preferred Watts or Lee taking a three.

Also, why didn't we try and get a shot at the rim?

Dirk was the hot three point shooter in the second half.

If we had a second or more, I would have went inside to Cokley. That was working all day and he was drawing fouls
