ODU should absolutely schedule Liberty. In-state non-conference opponent. Need all the wins we can get when playing multiple P5 teams a year.

Exactly. I don't think Vtech, UVA will even think about that. We should limit even scheduling them down here as a cupcake. I would rather pay and have big teams come here and get beaten by an 'OK' margin then watching liberty play us.

If we do ever schedule them, it will be like those NSU, Hampton schedule and the interest will die out fast.

IMHO - this is not good news for ODU. They have a lot of $$$$ to throw around and can build on their already pretty nice stadium at will. They have their own TV network to promote and show all their games. It will be interesting to see the dynamics of who they can find to play them but again with all the money they have they will be able to buy games. I was hoping no one else in VA would move up until we had our new stadium up and running and our program was running smoothly at the FBS level. How much Liberty will impact us is debatable, I know, but I wish it was a debate we did not need to have at this time.

If they make the football players do the same as the rest of the students..... chapel M-W-F.... bed checks.... curfews..... they will compete with us for recruits but we should win most of those battles.

Of course they won't miss my dime, but damn if I am going to pay to watch us play them. We already water down our schedule with one FCS school in the non conference, what do we have to gain by playing them?

Fcking hell I always thought the ODU campus would be a lot safer if students who had CC permits could somehow be permitted to carry them on campus. If you have your CC, set up something with the ODU Police dept. so they are well aware who is carrying on the campus and boom. Much safer. I carry my sidearm everywhere I go because that is my right and Ill be damned if an Islamic Extremist or any other terrorist is going to try and ruin my day. Ill pack his bags and give him a first class ticket straight to his 72 Virgins. Sorry but I've got ice in my veins when it comes to those losers.

But to get back on topic, if they wanna jump to FBS good for them. Cant say I know any college football players that like being told they have bedtime but hey whatever works for them.
