RE: FOY
Hey guys, I try not to intrude our stuff over here much, but I did a FOY write up last night. COY was yesterday morning and POY will be this morning with tourney previews tomorrow. I'm sure we'll change plenty of minds

No one does. EvanJ spends most of his time on this board talking to himself. I feel bad for the guy. The Hofstra team board must be desolate.
swampcougar1 wrote about teams having different out of conference schedules, so I posted that Pemberton and Riller have faced harder schedules than Daly and Lee.

RE: FOY
Conference Awards are based on conference-only stats, so OOC schedule difficulty shouldn't have any bearing on the pick.

Thanks Wiz, long time! Hope to make it up to DU/NU again next year, been a few years. Been away from the boards, ran Dragons Speak the last few years and joined up with Scott Kier to produce the website linked here, Always A Dragon. Looking to kick up our own boards there as well, so out of respect, largely stayed clear of here.

What do you base that statement on? Looking at the online CAA regulations it only lists the awards to be presented not really anything about criteria.

RE: FOY
People who vote on it have said as much in the past. Why would you give a conference award based on wildly different OOC opponents when you have a near-perfectly equal sample size with conference games? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it's only logical...

Not to mention teams tend to bring their best in the 2nd half of the season.
Just look at JMU. 1-13 in non-conference play. 4-2 start in CAA play. It didn't finish too well, but it was like watching 2 different teams.

RE: FOY
OOC also is a time for coaches to try out new players and different lineups. Especially in a conference getting only one bid at this point. OOC means very little.
