RE: Poll: 13% of Illegal Aliens ADMIT They Vote
We should make it very easy for every American citizen to vote.

We should make it very difficult for any non-citizen to vote.

This will require being able to determine which is which quickly and easily.

It's not that difficult of a concept.

No. This is not a fact. You can only register to vote in California if you have an SSN. To have a SSN, with rare exception (one of which being a work approval from Homeland Security) you have to be a US citizen. Therefore, they would only register you to vote if you ALSO had an SSN meaning you were a citizen.

To say that California is knowingly violating federal law by registering illegal aliens to vote just because they allow them drivers licenses is ridiculous.

Quote:The way automatic registration works is relatively simple: Eligible citizens are registered to vote when they show up at a Department of Motor Vehicles office to obtain a driver’s license or state ID. The DMV gives the eligible voter a chance to opt out if they prefer not to register. If the person does not opt out, the DMV electronically transfers their voter registration information to the Secretary of State’s office, rather than making election officials enter data by hand from paper registration forms. (The federal National Voter Registration Act of 1993 already requires states to give eligible voters the opportunity to register to vote when they apply for a new or renewed driver’s license.)

Odd that you get your information from HuffPo. If I responded with 'drudge' you'd ignore it.

Your alternative facts are misleading at best.

They are not LEGALLY allowed to vote... but they ARE Registered to vote.

But what do I know... I just am a Texas resident who moved to California and bought/registered a car here for my daughter... who doesn't live here and goes to college in a 3rd state. I didn't opt out and didn't give them her social... yet she is registered to vote in Cali. (I've held the registration confirmation)

I'll take your word for it instead.

It's not illegal to be registered... merely illegal to vote. You have to be a citizen to vote.... but you also have to get caught.

Do you really not understand the definition of eligible? Only citizens are eligible. It's as plain as day on the information I posted directly from the CA website. They prove citizenship online via your SSN.

As for the automatic registration at the DMV, they DO NOT forward your information to the Secretary of State if you are not an eligible voter, meaning a citizen of age.

Don't believe me, take it from the California Secretary of State. It's in the article I posted above. Of course that article is from the Huffpo so clearly they're just making it up:
Quote:The way automatic registration works is relatively simple: Eligible citizens are registered to vote when they show up at a Department of Motor Vehicles office to obtain a driver's license or state ID. The DMV gives the eligible voter a chance to opt out if they prefer not to register. "... Automated voter registration is actually a more secure way of doing things," California Secretary of State Alex Padilla told HuffPost in September. Potential voters "have to demonstrate proof of age, the vast majority of time people are showing a birth certificate or a passport, which also reflects citizenship. That's arguably more secure than someone checking a box under penalty of perjury," Padilla said.

Again, in what world do you live in where California would BLATANTLY ignore federal law and automatically register illegal aliens to vote in hopes that they just won't vote? 01-wingedeagle

Has Trump totally sucked all the resemblance of fact based thought from your collective brains? 03-lmfao

Yes... very clearly I understand it from the line I listed above.

Clearly YOU don't understand that we're talking about people voting ILLEGALLY... which by definition means they aren't eligible to vote. I'm not eligible to kill someone either, but that doesn't mean I can't do it. That's why it's called a crime.

Yes.... My daughter's California voter's registration card is just a figment of my imagination.

I never said she was legally allowed to vote in California. I said she was registered to vote in California. They were NEVER given her SSN.

If you're going to 'bank' on words, then you ought to pay a little more attention to them and learn what they mean.

You can keep reading websites and articles that other people tell you support your position. I'll go with facts.

Well thank goodness that nobody ever uses someone elses SSN to do things like collect pay checks or the like.
