If Trump says 3 to 5 million voted illegally, and that represents 13% of the undocumented population, then that means we have 30.7 million undocumented people living in the country.

Is that correct.

It's pretty close to the numbers I've seen but a bit on the high side.. I've seen anywhere from 11 million to 30 million, depending on who you asks..

Trump is likely wrong to think there were enough votes to swing the popular vote.

But he says he has information that leads him to believe that 3 to 5 million illegal votes were cast.

If this is true, this would be more than enough to sway the nation to support a national voter I.D.

Why wouldn't he jump on this. It would legitimize his election and put the issue to rest once and for all.

Unless of course he is using alternative facts.

We don't have a national drivers license and yet people in all states seem to get them just fine.

There are two likely things going on here

1 - Trump is butthurt that he lost by 3 million and is having a tantrum

Could be, the man has a huge ego...

2 - Trump is widning up his opposition so they spend way too much time on this issue.

A trump tweet, and a throw away line at a press conference have the media (and you) more focused on this nonsense than half of the other things he is doing.
