No see. I agree that the whole thing was stupid. No one should be fighting and Baxter should never have thrown any punches, but everyone has blame here

Whoa now a shove in a basketball game. Shut the door glad that was the first one by either team all night. Your bench cleared AFTER the punch just like Tech's did. Should have been equal punishment for the same action, though the only two punches were thrown by UAB players.

We are playing just as crappy with only 4 out there - this really sucks for both teams in the next game.

Boykins has been getting T's almost every game and the UAB players seemed to really want to shove it in McCree's face on the play but he didn't do anything so Boykins decided to shove a UAB player and then No. 0 punched him and all hell broke out. To eject even the coaches that were out there to stop stuff for both teams if beyond stupid. I haven't seen a real punch to the face throw in BB game in long time. Both teams are at fault and this could have been handled much better by the refs - hopefully CUSA can do something for our next games.

Even Nick Norton with a torn ACL got tossed.

Baxter literally throat punched Boykins. Boykins understandably came after him but got restrained. So those two were out. Beyond that, the rules state if you leave the bench for a fight you're gone. So everyone who left the bench got ejected. That was all the assistant coaches for both teams and all but two UAB players. So the teams got to keep the four players they had on the court other than Baxter/Boykins, plus the two UAB bench players who stayed put. They also let the head coaches stay.

I was hoping they'd make it 4-on-4, but I understand that they're not gonna help you out if your player is ejected.

So I can't take issue with the officiating here, or the ejections. I can, however, take issue with Baxter throat punching our guy.
