To be fair, background static sounds better than mecurio and cattles.

It's interesting, cattles got a lot of ratings simply because he wasn't mecurio. I always maintained you could duct tape a banana to the mic and it would get ratings because it wasn't tony. Pants seems to have a true level starting line. So far so good...we'll see how it plays out.

OK, I've changed my tune. New show sucks. Cattles was actually better - not good though. Risser and the other guy were way better together and actually talked sports. This new format is not good. Judging from his social media spats, Pantridge is gonna get himself drummed off before too long.

Agreed, the show is trash.

AM 850 has much better sports programming (all day long). Gottleib in the afternoons kinda sucks, but Nick Bailey, Dan Patrick, Colin Cowherd, and Rich Eisen are all better than anything on 94.1

What are you worried about exactly? That they cancelled the local all pro sports drive time show or changing format to non-sports radio?

Will Caine said on his show Monday, as he welcomed listeners of 94.1 in Norfolk, he would be on for 3 weeks, while they sort out the permanent schedule. I think Pants is done. The show got a little stupid and annoying sometimes and I felt like I had more sports knowledge than him, but I appreciate how he embraced the area and local sports.

Can they just hire a local already, instead of forcing an outsider to act like they care about local sports?

Alright I didn't like him either. But it is interesting to note how bad things became after he was gone.

I kind of liked Pants. The banter definitely got away from sports sometimes, but it was much higher level than either Murcurio or cattles IMHO.

At one time Murcurio must have had a budget of sorts cause I remember him having telephone interviews from time to time with sports celebrities, Phil Steele was on, Andy Hatfield, etc etc. Programming certainly had more variety than now. They are trying to do it on the cheap now and it sucks.
