I can confirm that #Gophers AD Mark Coyle and Pres Eric Kaler did meet with PJ Fleck today in Chicago. Nothing official yet....

I will act like a child if PJ leaves after this year. Haha

Since they built new stadium and upgraded facilities plus location Minnesota is considered a better job than Purdue. Minnesota has paid better but PU got more competitive with latest hire.

Just saw on WMU Sports Rag as reported by Huge that Minnesota has offered the job to Fleck and he has until tomorrow to give them his answer. There is also a report on there that a WMU team meeting has been scheduled but doesn't say if it's in response to the job rumors one would assume so. Stay tuned

Team meeting could also be about Winter Program starting as semester is about to begin.

Wouldn't read too much into that - yet.

Fleck said he always keeps his team informed. The meeting is to tell them he is going or staying.

And the leader of WMU Sports Rag has certainly been guilty of promoting false news in the past...

He may be right on this, but there is plenty of reason for speculation.

If Fleck leaves, thank you and best wishes. He brought a MAC Championship to Kalamazoo which his predecessor could not do. If he stays, congrats to DB and President Dunn!

Bottom-line...WMU is defending MAC Champion with, or without, Fleck on the sidelines next fall. It has been a l-o-n-g time coming.
