Rumor is that the plan was to rent a tent for the parking lot overflow crowd, but - bad timing - the parking lot landlord is starting construction on that spot this week and will not budge on the timeline.

There is nothing wrong with Scruffy Duffie's, but promoting it as THE gathering spot means a LOT of people will make their way there with no possibility of getting in. There will be 5000+ fans looking to socialize that night. Good thing is that it is surrounded by other bars and restaurants.

Is the JMU party at Scruffys 21+? We have a current student.

Hyper, we were thinking Hard Eight for BBQ and maybe checking out Scruffys or something else later.

I would guess that entire legacy area is going to be hit hard Friday night. I hope those businesses are aware of the influx of business coming their way.
Stonebriar looks like another fine area if legacy is slammed like I anticipate it will be.

Assuming you mean Thursday night, similar schedule for 10 of us or so that will be meeting in ATL for the second leg from a bunch of different spots, but we're flying to Love Field, not DFW. Those Thursday night Delta flights from ATL are going to be nuts I have a feeling.

I am on the 6AM flight out of Reagan also - lot of purple on our flight indeed!

Have talked to a few others and they are on same flight too. Just awesome to see!

Just an FYI, hotel rooms seem to be loosening up and prices coming down. There's time to switch if you booked something far from the action. We just found a great rate at the Cambria Hotel & Suites Plano-Frisco on hotels.com and switched our reservation there. It's walking distance to Scruffies and all of the shops and restaurants at the Legacy, where Dukes Nation seems to be coalescing.

I've never stayed at a Cambria before, but the tripadvisor reviews were great (and recent), and the photos looked almost identical to the Hyatt Place we had booked 10 minutes farther south, and for about $50/night less. Rooms with one king bed are listed at $125/night, two queens for $134. Cashing in free hotels.com rewards nights, we're staying for the price of tax!

Great location, right across the street from fan hotel Aloft Frisco.

Very cool of you to do that. However, anyone who could possibly use the gym on Sat or Sun, has obviously not rooted hard enough the day before!

Nope, Leaving out Friday night. Youngest kid has school and the wife and I have work commitments on Friday.
