Ref stops our transition offense after 2 dribbles because auburn didn't hit the rim.

Well. That sucked. What do we need to do to defend the dang 3? We dominated in the paint for most of the game.

Not to mention we missed some of our own wide open 3s.

RE: Auburn Game Thread
The refs sucked but a pretty ****** performance by the Blazers.

UAB's perimeter defense is just atrocious. If our opponents don't shoot a high percentage, it's on them because we give up enough wide open looks to get almost any D1 teams shooters going. UAPB, Furman, Kansas, etc., the opponent doesn't seem to matter.

UAB has enough athletes to play good defense all over the court. The job just isn't getting done in practice.

RE: Auburn Game Thread
Three pointers and turnovers kill us again.

We make one less FG and make five more free throws yet we lose.

We have to adjust our defensive scheming. We're selling out for rebounds (not blocks like everyone thinks), so as soon as the other team swings the ball, our backside defenders are still collapsed.

AND if we're not going to take the D1 average of three point attempts, then that just makes each possession that much more crucial, and each turnover hurt that much worse.

I understand biased refs to make extra calls for their hometown team. But this is horse ****. Only in Birmingham.

That was a clean block and a wtf call at the end. But I think we got some generous calls in the first half.

The refs called a tight game from the opening tip. Cokley fouling out really hurt. We can't defend the three - period.

Disappointing night all around.

RE: Auburn Game Thread
Cokley draws 3 fouls for being near a guy, really fouls once and says something about it and gets a T for it.

Dirk gets pushed off from, blocks the shot anyway with no contact and gets whistled. This after their Italian soccer league reject draws 2 phantom fouls on him in the first 6 minutes of the first half.

Haha gets bodied to the ground and nobody saw nuttin.

F#%& Pearl and the $EC

I might have gotten tossed from the stands on this one.

Really disappointed in our perimeter defense and our lack of ability to get the ball in to the post on offense. This all falls back on to coaching. Very unimpressed with Deion lavender as well.

Pearl worked over the refs early in the first half, and it was game over from that point on...

...or

...maybe we just can't defend the three. We're lucky it was only a three point game. Auburn missed several more open threes.

Lol to those that are blaming the refs. We lost this game because 1) Missed FTs late 2) Three Point defense and 3) scoring droughts.

They also missed some quick open layups. They were rattled.

LOL to those that didn't think the refs had a heavy hand in how we played.

Section 10, article 1. Three-Second Rule is still in there. I didn't believe it until I checked.
