Props to EMU for a good game last night!!
Happened to catch the tail end of the EMU-NIU game last night, and I liked what I saw from both teams, but especially EMU!!! EMU put their heart & soul into that game last night and it showed. I hated that they lost, but NIU was simply the better team last night. Still, EMU has come a long way from its football program being on life support to this strong showing this year. Keep it up EMU Eagles!!!

Agreed, great game. Love their Coach. Reminds me a lot of Novak actually. I really do think he's going to turn that program around. They are already well on their way

Bowl season this year will tell us how good the MAC actually is. Lots of middle programs hovering at .500. It'd be nice to say that's because our conference was so deep.

We were down 21-0. I turned off the game and watched the NIU basketball game instead. Either way we are still awful this season. Surprised we didn't lose another close one like we have most of the season. EMU running game had a field day on our defense.

I wonder if EMU's lack of depth hurt them in the 2nd half, since both teams had a bunch of injuries in that game. Creighton has been able to to get the team from a bottom MAC team to at least an average MAC team, but hasn't been around long enough to get that depth built up yet. I think Creighton has done a really good job, they're just slightly short of competing for a MAC West title - and next year, WMU, CMU and NIU are all replacing their QBs, though I'm not sure which QB NIU is replacing - Hare? Maddie? Graham? Santacaterina? Who knows.

It may be a depth issue with EMU the last couple of games.
Regardless, they are bowl eligible, they will be in a bowl game and as they've shown with wins against Wyoming and Ohio they are very capable of winning a bowl game.

EMU was down to their 4th string RB, a former walk-on. So yeah, depth hurt them there. No excuse though, EMU should be played better in the 2nd half but let NIU off the ropes. EMU loses 3 starters on offense (all on the OL) and about 3 on defense so they should be at least decent next year.
Now we just want to beat CMU. Maybe make genyk an honorary coach for this one.
