Wesley Fields had a catch on last last drive. 37-10 at minimum of we are counting should haves.
Yes, that's true. There are many should haves that would've altered the game a lot. Overall, Defense was phenomenal, even though that may be undervaluing it. Offense, aside from Q1 on not punching it in, did great. Meadors, my god that boy came to play. I can't really pick out 1 player to stand above the rest, too many to pick.

Can you name a more s***ily-coached team in the FBS than us? Bowling Green really fell off, but at least they have lost many key players on their offense.

First, I'm not trying to flame at all!
But who are y'all gonna be able to get to replace him? That offense y'all want to run, isn't used very much, so the pickings are slim.

Its not so much the scheme really... Hell I'd be fine with a pro-style if we could win with it right now. Good coaches can work with what they have and use it to be successful... Tyson inherited some nice pieces...
Personally, I have zero interest in going back to the TO.

App hands GS it's biggest defeat in Statesboro ever, and holds GS to the lowest yardage (152) in Paulson history, coincidentally breaking Troy's record in 1992.

Cool...I think that I totally misunderstood the situation.

I'll take Jamey Chadwell (Chuck South), Brent Thompson (the Citadel), Russ Huesman (Chatty), or John Grass (Jax State) right now. It's okay with me if we aren't running offense X.
Just get a ****ing competent staff here.

I almost feel sorry for GSU....that is nothing like the speed smash mouth running teams I ve grown to dislike. I do see a huge talent/youth gap on your o-line and I see a team that has no passion. Looks like you'll be sittin home come Christmas.

Its amazing how the wind was taken out of the sales for this week's game. Southern fans knew it and some of y'all thought we were sandbagging.
Yes, we will be home this Christmas.

Meadors turned the game with that insane catch. RBs got it going late in the game. Lamb was good with the run tonight
1-12 on 3rd down won't do though. Work to do.

this game wasn't about App playing well, we we're just average on offense, this was about how inept GS offense was. Normally, if we beat GS by 24, I'm happy as hell, and ready to talk so trash, but after this game, I don't know, just want to move on to the next game.

Yeah. We've been sacked once all year, by Clemson and I think we lead the conference in tackles for loss allowed. No matter what USA fans say about stats, it will be hard to pressure Troy.
That said, your defense is downright nasty. I am really floored by how well you guys have played. I do think that we do things offensively that get right at your weak points though. We run right up the gut with a huge running back and o-line where I think you guys are small up front. We don't run a lot of east and west plays where your linebackers would dominate otherwise. We throw the ball over the middle quite a bit and do a lot of diagonal passes in hurry up mode, which I think your defense has had trouble defending. We have probably the quickest release in conference which is a large part of why we don't get sacked. I'm not at all certain our offense won't have the same fate as the rest, but I do think schematically we match up well, in ways that your other SBC opponents would not.
Overall, outstanding performance tonight. The only silver lining for Troy is that GS nearly lost to NMSU last week and maybe they're not as good as I thought they were. They started a true freshman quarterback tonight and I'm sure that helped a very good APP defense pin their ears back.

I tried to tell you that our offense was bad. Tonite we reached a new level of pitiful. What in the hell are we trying to do-- just put plays in a jar and pick 1 out?
Summers won t be fired after 1 year but there will be offensive coach changes.
If we are still like this after next year everything is on the table. The big supporters at GS will come up with the money to buy him out -- and we will hire an option coach-- an offensive minded coach-- to replace him

FR Seth Shuman 9/23 for 73 yards
SR Kevin Ellison 3/6 for 21 yards
If he didn't start, he got a lot more snaps.
