They run a West Coast offence. They line up in multiple sets and pass to the RBs just as much as they do their recievers. Their O is good, but not great, and will be much better as the season progresse (you have to remember theIris QB of the past 3.5 years just graduated). The QB they have now can run the ball very well also. The Mocs strength is their defence. They are solid at every level. Their strength is an excellent pass rush and good run stopping. The safeties tend to play downhill against the run. Quick hitting short routes is what they will give up because they want to make you one dimensional. Then they will jump the route or bury you with sacs if you try to buy time by going deep.

Thanks for that.
Weather is looking to be about perfect for tomorrow. Should be a good crowd.

Went to the Bucs game today and unfortunately it went as projected. We have improved a lot but not enough to compete with the SoCon's best teams. Chatt's lines were better than our lines and that pretty much allowed them to operate and do what they wanted. If we improve as much next year as we did this year then I think we can be competitive with them. We are still a very young team.

The defense with the exception of blown coverages at times and failure to hold on third down situations looks very solid. I like what I saw from the defense for the most part. As for the offense... we got some work to do...

Offensive line just been outmatched the last 2 games. Without an effective line, everything just falls apart. I think we have to wait till the end of these next 3 games to really know where we stand.
Overall, I thought we looked better today than last Saturday

Yep, agree with all that. I thought the o-line looked good and got pushes for about a quarter and then the size and athleticism of Chatt's front 4 took over. They were a pretty impressive team. Like you said, I actually thought we looked a lot better than last Saturday against Wofford.
Kennesaw beat Furman yesterday. I think Kennesaw dominated early and Furman came back to make it close. Again, BIG 3 game stretch for us.

I am starting to feel better about the Bucs now after putting all of this into perspective. KSU beating Furman was surprising to me. If we keep improving then I think we be competitive in most of our remaining games.
I did notice that two of our defensive players got into a little altercation in the second half. Is this fairly common in football?

Yeah, dealing with alpha males here. Ready to fight each one minute and hugging and high giving the next. You'll see it almost every game if you look out for it. I would be worried if I didn't see a little dog in those guys every once in awhile.
