Merely acknowledging the existence of the terms of the Agreement was actually a violation of the terms of the agreement.

Releasing a copy of it publicly was also a violation.

I'm sure some legal eagles in here could tell you that, being a publicly funded institution, NOT releasing it in the face of an FOIA request would break federal law. But what do I know? I'm just some dumb wantabe Architect who got his masters from an institution that has such poor academics, I can't formulate a cogent sentence. It's a wonder we even know what buttons to push on these boxes in front of us right now... 07-coffee3

As a legal eagle graduate of the same institution, I can confirm that that all we do here is push the wrong buttons but miraculously keep coming back anyway.

I'm assuming at this point we signed a different NDA than the other schools. It clearly prevents us from talking even after everything is done. It also binds the B12 as well, IIRC.
I wonder if FedEx legal came up with our agreement.

Listen, here's what really going on. We are already in. The list is of the schools that have a chance of going in with us. Hence, the NDA.

Doubtful. It is probably a form document. It is possible that ECU and UNLV didn't sign one, but I bet they did.

FTR: I think we are out. The confusion is that the whales haven't heard a damn thing from the big 12. On Saturday heard a lot of "wait and see" but it was also combined with a lot of anger at big 12. So smart money says, better enjoy the American and just keep winning.

I feel ya dude, at this point it wouldn't be a shock but still think we have no chance and it was over before it ever began.

Makes sense. I wish they could just make something official so that we could all move on.

What if...Memphis was the one that took their name out of consideration for reasons we don't know about? And because of that, negotiations may have turned back in our favor. One can only speculate and hope...

Sometimes people just ask for too much at the 11th hour and you have to say no. When you do, they might come back and say, wait a minute bro, we were just playing.

This is/was a very interesting negotiation, I hope everything works out well for the Tigers.

This makes sense. TC tells us we're in, and verdict indicates we're out. So TC now says we're out, and we're actually in.

Out of all of the employees that were laid off today, Brett McMurphy is the one that least deserved it (IMO). He did some really good work for ESPN.

It is a awful day for ESPN employees and their families. I hope they will find another job soon. Sometimes the worse day is the first day of a journey to something better.

Wow... Jayson Stark and Danny Kanell. I couldn't stand either of them, but both were pretty prominent figures on their channels and radio.

Now we will find out what the reset market worth is. Some will get hired by other networks, some will get hired back at a reduced rate, and some will keep their jobs but make less money. This should lead to big pay cuts across the board. Anyone who still has a job has zero leverage. I wouldn't be surprised to see an average pay cut of 50% across the board.
