No disrespect to Wyoming. They played great! But tell me you think they're a top 50 team? I didn't see that. NIU didn't look top 50 either, but I think it was a garbage night. Wyoming couldn't go anywhere but up. Our whole team was true freshman last year. I don't think wyo is a top 50 by any stretch but NUI and fan base didn't respect the team. I thought they killed on run D which they were terrible last year. I think you'll be buying lots of beer...

Agreed the MAC sucks and agreed we cant beat elite MW teams. We lost to Utah State and got pounded by Boise.

We destroyed Fresno State in a bowl game back in 2010. The problem is Carey. We've seen the program regress under him and if we finish under .500 this season he should be fired.

Wyoming played good enough to beat most MAC teams . Away games are tough no matter who you play. NIU will bounce back. Too much talent not to.

We are a good little MAC team that is it.
STF was right in saying the MAC has been good to us.
FCS in 5 years.

Defense is still bad.
Special teams are awful.
Too many penalties. A Carey trend.
Offense - 1 guy.
Very long year.

Fans didn't respect Wyoming because the worst MAC team (eastern michigan) went in and beat you last year for their first road win in years. And you won 2 games last year.

The games against WIU and EMU just became a lot more challenging. If the weather is good and the atmospheric pressure doesn't get messed up, maybe we could luck out and win one of those games.

We are trending down no doubt about it. Top 80 football team is all you can hope for.
More like top 110 with 10 MAC teams below us if we are lucky.
We deserve no respect.

Wyoming is much improved but there really is no excuse for losing that game. Our fans were too confident though and didn't give Wyoming chance. All the things previously mentioned were true. Good coaching staff, 18 returning starters, home field advantage etc. All favored them. We got up early and then looked bad for nearly the next three quarters. Play calls were again questionable and many said it is the same as last year, no real changes. Our line play was suspect and has a a lot of improving to do.

With all that said, give credit to our fans. At the end of regulation our fans were pumped and Wyoming was in shock. It got our players energized. Our sideline was pumped and dancing while Wyoming's was just standing there. Horrible time for a bad center exchange or fumbled snap because we had an advantage in the ot and blew it.

Many on this board said Elevation would not influence the outcome.

Thoughts? Your guys were totally gassed.
