I think we all spewed a few expletives in the first half....I doubt any USM fan said this when we were behind @ the half: "We got's 'em right where's we wants 'em"..

Hell, I'll admit I was down on them once Kentucky started owning us in the first half. I was sick at heart and saddened and wondering about the coaching hire. I started reading a book and keeping half an eye on the TV.

But, I didn't post about it, so there's no quotes to show it. Still, I'm honest enough to admit that's how I felt.

Then the last drive of the half I thought "well, that's promising. Let's see what we do in the second half."

Then early in the third I said to She Who Must Be Obeyed "Well, at least Kentucky knows we're here!"

Then in the fourth I was thinking "This game is ours to lose." Then "We are going to win this one!"

Then for a while I lost the capacity for rational thought. A petite mort, if you will.

So, yeah, it was like that.

screw the $$$ I had on the game....I had to leave my venue with an Ol' Piss grad just before the run, run, TD! to relieve 'those' frustrations

sometimes we all get a tad too caught up in being fanatics....

the best part about the last posit is we have many of them through thick and thin...

there are still many within the player and coaching ranks that pay us homage for that....

that's the passion in 'reward' for being a southern miss fan

Look, I was 100% happy with eating my words after halftime. It was 35-7 at once point and I was like, "WTF, turn this crap off" (note, I did not turn it off but I did click around to other games in my temporary sadness) but they turned it around and they won.

It want be the last time I get upset about how we're playing..you wouldn't be a true fan if you didn't care about the results.

I agree with the statement below. Our receivers were a little soft when it came to becoming defenders when the ball wasn't spot on. I think they'll get better at this once they see the film.

well, we have video footage of him coaching his QBs to "force it in the window". in other words, "throw it into tight coverage." what an idiot. and that's exactly what Mullens has been doing this year, unlike he ever did in the past.

the coaches are thinking too 'cute' in an attempt to garner a foothold into the 'next level' on too many plays....and Nick needs to audible out and challenge that when the situation presents itself...

every now and then it is called a "surprise"....too many 'artsy fartsy' plays is just just dadgum dumb...Monk did it too a bit much and got lucky....but he only did on 4th....

to date, this talent is being wasted IMO....

we got lucky against ky jello.....if he tosses the 4th int at the beginning of the 3rd, there is no way we win that game....

we have a serious play calling/decision making problem....
