He didnt want that. He wanted a jury trial.

The judge warned him that, due to his past convictions that if he is convicted, he could end up serving a sh*tload more time.

He wasnt convicted of attempted murder, but his conviction of assault and the other counts allowed the judge to sentence him to life plus 5 years. He will be eligible for parole in 63 years and 9 months.

Sometimes you just got to allow the dumbasses to hang themselves.

Alton Sterling was not an admirable man. His rap sheet (offered to media by Baton Rouge officials for $148 a copy) is 46-pages long and includes convictions going back 20 years for illegal weapons possession; battery; carnal knowledge of a teen-ager (whom he impregnated); possession of stolen property; disturbing the peace; domestic abuse; and, just last month, failing to register as a sex offender.

As I've said before...if these outrage you, start a conversation about rules of engagement between cops and people and STFU about nonexistent racial double standards.

The autopsy report specifically highlights the presence of depressants, like alcohol, and stimulants, like meth and cocaine. Cataldie points out anyone using that combination of drugs would be impaired, irrational, and even psychotic. Specifically, Catalide explained when you combine alcohol and cocaine, it creates another dangerous compound called cocaethylene, which can lead to agitation, paranoia, heart attack, and even death.

"I would anticipate the possibility of agitation, paranoia, could be some paranoid delusions going on,” explained Cataldie. “Certainly, it’s a person whose judgment would be what we don’t consider normal."
