RE: ODU Merchandise
The merchandise in the bookstore has gotten a million times better and a lot of it looks nice. Hoping they keep it up. I feel like each time I go in there I see more things for kids and women which I like. It is kinda expensive, but it is nice stuff. I would like to find a youth basketball jersey as well so hopefully they will keep adding more kids stuff.

You guys will be fine. We did a two sports deal with UA (football and both hoops squads). I think your deal is all sports. Still we are getting paid by UA and well Nike never did that. The UA stuff in the bookstore is pretty sweet. The problem we have is the bookstore being nimble and purchasing the right stuff at the right time.

UA sizes run ridiculously small. I have yet to find anything to fit me or my husband. There's a lot more fans that look like us than, say. the little size 2 cheerleaders.

Its true. UA stuff is cut to fit tight, or as they call it "compression" fit. Guess thats the trend these days.

Some of the stuff the bookstore has been getting is insanely snug. I have a lot of UA stuff. A UA XXL Loose usually fits me fine. Some of the stuff in the bookstore has been cut more like a large rather than an XXL. I know I could stand to drop some pounds but I'm not that big. They other problem with the UA stuff the bookstore is getting is it's not the Charged Cotton. If they would get more of that (they have gotten exactly one t-shirt) they would be smart. It has a much better fit.

RE: ODU Merchandise
My only issue with our merchandise is that's it looks too busy and flashy. I just wanted an old "ODU" full-zip hoodie, but had to settle for an "OLD DOMINION" 1/4-zip sweatshirt. I've never been a fan of the huge flashy swiping logo and I'm certain some older alums would feel the same.

This body has long since been in a state to go in public in a tight fitted anything!

I want some of the stuff the big time schools have. At that first Paradise Jam ODU was in the Wisconsin fans had such great and varied apparel. Some guys has overalls with the red W's all over. Some of the best Hawaiian shirts ever! Red floral print with the W's entwined.

I found a couple of websites that you can custom order Hawaiian shirts to match your school colors with a school logo on them. It would have to be a school purchase since to make th price reasonable the order would have to be 250 or more.

Eh, its a message board. Hyperbolic complaints rule the roost. I like under armour a lot more than the stuff we got from Nike.
No just referring to the lack of access. It's a midl major problem. I would love to see even cheap stuff for us at Walmart or Target. Just doesn't happen unless you have a Houston like run I suppose.

That seems to be a mid major trend. Here you can get a tradition Georgia or GT sweatshirt anywhere. Someone feels like for mid majors you have to cater to 20 year olds exclusively.

We have gear at both in Hampton Roads. It gets picked over quickly, but it's there.

A big issue for our fans is the lack of access to ODU gear in other parts of the state. You can get Tech and UVA gear pretty much everywhere and you even see some UNC and UT spillage along the shared borders. But you can't find much ODU gear anywhere outside of the 757.

That issue goes far beyond just merchandise. We have very little brand awareness in the rest of the state. Were there but you have to look for it in everything (TV, news, radio, gear, etc) Highly unlikely you will come across something ODU related by chance unless in you're in the 757.

Yup. You can buy UVA and VT stuff at the 7-11 two blocks from my house. I have to drive 3 hours to get any ODU gear.

Tailgate stuff is another lean topic. Heck, try finding plastic ware or plates in dark blue. Nope, not around. Only Hampton Pirate blue.
