Did Rick Scott mention the word Gay? Or LGBT in the 7 am press conference? His press release didn't mention it this morning. Again.

A moment of silence? Whatever.

Just watched his interview on Today this morning. He cannot even say the friggin' word. I suppose he has to pretend that we aren't Gay for him to even talk about us in death.

If someone shot up a Synagogue, he'd see this as an attack on the Jewish community.

You are just looking for something to complain about Tom. Scott was very reverent in his comments as to the victims and families. It was not the time to make social or political statements directly after this heinous tragedy. Id guess more comments will come out as the days progress.

Scott insulted and continues to insult the entire LGBT community and the victims. Hatred of our community is so deep with his supporters that even in death, he has to pretend that the victims are straight before he can discuss it.

This wasn't an attack on a general purpose facility. It was a targeted attack on the LGBT community. Scott and Trump cannot even console the community attacked. Scott refused to even discuss protection measures for other LGBT venues in his state when directly asked.

You're probably right but Obama still refuses to acknowledge that this was done by Islamic Jihadists. It's a swinging door.

And by the way, I wouldn't be surprised if the selection of the day being part of Gay Pride Week, had something to do with the overlap of Ramadan.

Equal treatment would indicate that the same should apply.

We must report that the club was targeted based on its gay clientele. It is right to do so.

That does not mean we must report the sexual orientation of each victim...or that we must call this a gay tragedy since, chances are, some non-gay individuals were also victims.

He drove past 10,000 general purpose venues in the 2 hours between his home and the Gay club.

And to not mention the community at all is insulting to the victims and to the community from which they came.

Look we all know the real reason Scott and Trump won't mention it.
The club was targeted because of its gay clientele. It is correct to report that.

The victims were individual humans. Most gay, likely some not, mostly hispanic, some likely not, most Americans, some likely not. It doesn't freaking matter what the freaking sub-classes are.

Scott and Trump cannot even discuss the community that was attacked. Scott cannot even mention the word Gay.

You know, its pretty telling when 50 members of the LGBT community were slaughtered in a clear crime targeting them and the GOP Governor cannot even say "we stand with the LGBT community of Orlando in their time of sorrow". Or "we condemn attacks on Gay people". Scott can't even do that. Even when directly asked to address the concerns of the Gay community in Florida. No, just kick a community that is down.

By the way, the only openly Gay official in Orlando (and the leader of the LGBT community there) is outraged by this. So is the LGBT community. My guess is that Florida's governor will host some sort of remembrance at some viciously anti-Gay church and use that to ignore the lives of the LGBT community.

Is Scott disgusted by homosexuality? So was Omar Mateen.

So a Muslim shoots gay victims, and in our political climate one side can't mention that the shooter was Muslim and the other can't mention that the victims were gay?

Both sides are so far into their false realities that neither is willing to discuss the truth.

I've mentioned that the shooter was Muslim. Many times. Who is denying that it was done by a Muslim?

Not Clinton. Not Obama. Who?

I find it humorous that you are pissed at a Governor because he has not said "gay" or "lgbtq" in his statement, but you excused the muslim that did this...

How did I excuse him? By not supporting banning millions that didn't do this to my community? Obviously his actions, which included driving 2 hours past 10,000 general purpose venues and straight bars to attack a Gay bar, and murdering 50 LGBT community members and their allies, are condemnable and horrible.

The truth is that the club was targeted because of its primarily gay clientele. It is appropriate and necessary to report that. Most people are capable of comprehending the implications of that when they hear it.

The false reality is that it is a strictly gay tragedy and politically correct rules must be established to never refer to it in the common parlance of all tragedies. Such as the word "gay victims" being required and "victims" being outrageous. It is not outrageous...it is standard.

You have to decide whether you want to be treated as regular people...or a special category of non-regular people. Either way. Just make up your minds which it is.

Scott treated you as regular Americans. If it had been a Southern Baptist Convention shooting he'd have probably said something similar.

A guy who says "its an attack on all of us" is the bad guy??? What do you want him to say? "it wasn't an attack on all of us...it was just an attack on the gays"????

Or do you just want to be mad?
