Dear Josh => try winning some meaningful games before dissing pretty much everyone surrounding the program.

How anyone can say that CJP is a 'stand up guy' after this is beyond me.

With the $2.65 million, how about offering promotions (that you NOT the school finance) for better student attendance.

What are YOU, Josh, doing regarding that? Are you meeting with students weekly inside Jones Hall cafeteria. Are you having one player there with you? What ideas do you have.

I've tried to stay out of any/all negativity, but I swear this is starting to sound like a whiny "not me!" fest. Offer solutions, else you VALIDATE that you are overpaid.

Narcissist said the same thing...when attendance was way down in 2005. He went after the fanbase, and hard.

Here, Pastner made an accurate comment about the lack of student attendance.

Everyone realizes 18-14 followed by 19-15 is the primary reason so many fans turned their backs on the team. But the vitriol that accompanied that and the level of non support, let alone the piling on as though the entire time he has been coach here has been terrible, can put up with a mild comment about student attendance.

All very different issues than whether here, at Memphis, the last two sub par seasons on the heels of some really good but still short of elite levels seasons should result in a coaching change. Likely should. But hopefully folks can avoid ridiculing their own if it does not.

But yes, the my insult is bigger than your insult parade will likely continue.

I understand that student attendance is lousy and most posters here are aware of that, but his comments are clueless and insensitive to the fans who have to put up with his "it's everybody's fault but mine" BS.

I'm kind of defending him here. It is a pretty bad student section...but its not the students fault.

Its not a very good spot to watch the game...behind the basket and all.

Does the university provide free transportation for students to and from the university that have tickets?

Is the product on the court worth watching...no, not lately.

So if Josh is back and he drives off more season ticket holders as many here have indicated, next year is the perfect opportunity to improve on the situation. Give the students the first 10 Rows of sections 104 and 115. First come, First Serve with a valid student I.D. That'll improve things.

...or just Fire the coach and the product will sell itself.
