Believe it or not we only have one more loss than we did at this time last year and the schedule has been much tougher this year. The young guys are really coming along and this team is looking up. All those who were taking pot shots at Wayne earlier in the year need to be kicked in the _____. He is masterfully bringing his young talent along and recovering from some players lack of fall. All praise for the Jedi Master!

The bandwagon was pretty empty this afternoon at the ballpark. For such a beautiful day, the fans were few and far between today. I had my whole row to myself.

Better than last week. We must have 2000 season tickets or so.

Still way too early to these measures to be meaningful, but Warren Nolan now has us up to #37 in RPI, with the #2 SoS.

Compare to UH, who did play Alabama this weekend and Baylor last week, but who's other OOC weekend series include Villanova (opening weekend with no on-field practice facility), Grand Canyon and George Washington. When all is said and done, that will almost assuredly be 9 games against sub-200 RPI teams. Within the AAC, it appears that both Cincy and South Florida are headed toward sub-200 RPI seasons. They also play McNeese St. x 2, TAMU-CC and Prairie View. Talk about a cupcake OOC schedule. They could very well end the regular season having played 17 - 19 games against sub-200 RPI clubs.

Or the same ticket counter from HRS.

Some of our other 'quality' assistants got butthurt and threatened by a Name with some competence on campus and forced him out.

Also, having an assistant coach who appears in ads opposing an equal rights ordinance is a pretty bad look...

College Baseball Central was at Reckling this past weekend, and just posted a podcast of what he saw.......

http://collegebaseballcentral.com/colleg...ecu/13333/

...listen to the actual podcast as it goes into far more detail than the excerpted transcript.

Interesting take. The take I eventually came to believe is that "a Name" is a leader of men. As a leader, he wanted to set the tone and direction for those he led. I doubt "a Name" will ever have a title with the word assistant in it ever again. Just my take, your mileage may vary. My apologies for interrupting the narrative.
