Cruz tells O'Reilly he will deport 12 million undocumented Immigrants
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has taken a page from Donald Trump's presidential campaign playbook, hardening his rhetoric against undocumented immigrants.
Cruz told Fox News host Bill O'Reilly on Monday that yes, should he be elected president, his administration would deport all 12 million undocumented people estimated to be in the U.S. and wouldn't allow them to return.
"We should enforce the law ... federal law requires that anyone here illegally that's apprehended should be deported," Cruz said. "Of course" he'd look for undocumented immigrants, he said.
Cruz said America would build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, triple the border force and establish biometric entry systems "so we will know the day someone overstays their visa."

Nope, he said anyone apprehended will be deported. Is that not the law? I doubt 12 million will be apprehended.
That's why We have laws on the books, trouble is the opposition won't deport Them as They are either a current or potential voting base . All about that base !

I saw the same thing Ever.. i don't see a "we're going to round up 12 million and deport them". Unless I'm missing a line in the video interview portion not in the quick transcript
RE: Cruz tells O'Reilly he will deport 12 million undocumented Immigrants
Cruz is an idiot on this issue. Number one, we can't round them up and deport them, but more importantly, number two, we don't want to live with the inevitable unintended consequences of doing so.
Suppose we send 12 million people back to Mexico. What does that do to Mexico? Can you say failed state? How would the resulting chaos in Mexico be any different from Somalia? Do we want Somalia on our southern border? Really?
Worst case scenario, once Mexico fails as a state, what prevents al-Qaeda or ISIS or whomever from launching SCUDs into LA and Phoenix and San Antonio?

0:27 - "Yes, we should deport them."
0:43 - "Of course you would...that's what ICE is exists for."
1:14 - "You better believe it!" [After O'Reilly asks him if he's going to deport the fictional Mr. O'Malley and send him back to Ireland for overstaying his visa.]

He's not an idiot. He's been very careful with his language. He wants people to believe he would deport 12 million, but he basically says he would deport those that get caught. And that's only a small portion. Cruz is from Houston. He knows that deporting 12 million would be a disaster economically for the country. He is sleazy and misleading, but he's not stupid.

So he's basically endorsing the current Obama plan...other than allowing for any type of amnesty.

Where was he misquoted? I never saw that.
I didn't say he was misquoted, but I'm at the office fit, so I can't watch the video right now. That's why I said I'm missing a line somewhere in the video

Sleezy and misleading is right. Which is why I cannot for the life of me figure out how the evangelical voters cannot see him for what he is.
