RE: Dunk was nice
Well, it will be a bad moment in a couple of weeks at Senior Day, the crowd that's there, 1/2 will cheer and 1/2 will boo. (Based on the comments on this thread.) I'm sure that dunk will NOT be included on his video highlights.

dunk or not if you boo Shaq on his senior day you're a pretty classless individual

To be fair he has apologized for both actions.

Will we see something else from him in a later game or during the conference tournament?

I think others (including those in the national media) pointed out that Shaq still didn't
"get it" after he was called for a technical foul...and still "didn't get it" when he was still joking it up on the bench.

Normally, if one's actions results in a technical foul, most players realize immediately that they screwed up royally, but Shaq didn't...even mins later.

Being "told" to apologize is much different than self realizing when idiotic actions (and reactions) to receiving a technical foul and still not getting it is obviously troublesome.

I'd rather he not put himself in any more positions for which he has to apologize. You can play with the same fire and passion without doing things which hurt the team. That said, I love Shaq. He's had a fine Senior season, much better than I thought he'd have.

Anyone booing him on Senior Day should be removed from the building.

Nobody is going to boo a 4th year senior because of a couple of stupid decisions during games... He will get a loud cheering ovation.

Cal didn't "get it" Saturday when he got his tech, and then went after the ref.

Not sure where you've been playing, but the guys I've played with sure don't realize immediately that they screwed up. Normally takes a while.

This thread is proof that people still care. I thought the season was over and the guys were just playing for fun.

I think the first tech was planned. But the way he lost it and got tossed that early in a key game, was not planned. You think he said "My team has a better chance to win this key conference game on the road, if I'm not on the bench." ? No way.

Think about it

I think his #1 game plan bullet point was to move the referees away from allowing So Carolina to make it a physical game. I think he was going to work on them from the beginning, and planned to get a tech sometime in the 1st half. But no way he planned to get tossed 2.5 minutes into this game. The SEC #1 seed was on the line.
