He'd get a 15 yard penalty every other play for tripping.

Funny thing is, that's what it seems about you on this matter. Football is at a 50-year high. We lost a coach, but still manage to show we retain momentum. Facilities are progressing and in the best shape in the history of the university. We may not make the P5, but we are as close now as we've been in the BCS-era. And the basketball team is struggling. There's the tree. It's a big old oak, but it's a tree. There's a clear way to put out that singular fire. And it will start this offseason.

It would have been cool if i had done it. A senior d1 basketball player doing it against tulane in a losing effort .

Lame

I bet he could dunk two or three times against a presbyterian vacation bible school team. Esp if he tripped them

I'm ready to move on. This happened yesterday.

When is the next game? How many more do we have anyway?

edit: o eff...we have 7 more. I thought we had 5.

7 is brutal.

To be fair he has apologized for both actions.

Will we see something else from him in a later game or during the conference tournament?

Why does this surprise any of you? This is the same player who blew off and practice and then blatantly tripped an opponent. What was his discipline? Two minutes for blowing off the practice and nothing for the trip. The conference suspended him for the trip because his coach didn't have the guts to do it on his own. His coach said that he should only have to apologize. Nobody is bigger than the program though.

Smh

Shaq obviously doesn't get it but its not like he's the only one tripping folks. Didn't that Duke kid trip an opponent too?

Hell, a kid from Oregon State tripped a referee. Tripping an opponent is not cool, but lets not make the kid out to be Hitler Jr.

RE: Dunk was nice
Shaq's play was dumb in the micro sense because it took away points but in the macro sense who the hell cares about this season anymore. I'm sure the coaching staff knows Pastner is gone in 4 weeks and probably some of it (if not most) are out with him. Sure the players know this season is kaput too. If I'm playing in an empty high school gym and get a breakaway dunk opportunity? Not sure if I was 21 and had the ability to dunk like that I wouldn't do it either. Was it dumb? Sure. In the large scheme of things does it make a difference? No.

Maybe he'll get a look from the Globetrotters with that kind of theatrics. Of course, the Generals are always looking too.

Dj

To see him dunk live

Unbelievable

5 players go up for the ball
4 fall away, and one player stays suspended in the air

Just unbelievable
